@@senbeiboi4511 just checked Wikitravels and apparently more people in Navarra speak Spanish than Basque. Here's what it said "Both Spanish and Basque (Español and Euskera) are official languages in Navarra. Spanish is more spread than Basque in Navarra, and everybody can speak Spanish in this land, but Basque is also spoken by a wide part of the population specially in the north of Navarra and Pamplona as a native language."

@@AImeria Not really, it's mostly fixed now. Another note on Sukhothai: when the ruler of Ayutthaya dies, Sukhothai gets an event where they get the northern half of Ayutthaya and Ayutthaya as a vassal (or PU, idk) for free.

Ally muscovy and lithuania (hope they dont get into pu, but its also possible with only muscovy) eat up Georgia and all of these smaller states in your Region, get into the Persia trade, 2v1 ottomans.

@@r0me_cs Out of 18 attempts only one has Lithuania not been in a PU. Muscovy is a mandatory ally and I always get it, otherwise you don't make it. My current run might make it as I am eating my way through Lithuania. Strangely enough ottomans have taken land from me in 3 wars but I am gaining development quicker than they can take it from me so I might make it.

Love these little miniseries, hope it continues

Try Finland. You got to start as Sweden and then play as the released vassal, but it's definately the hardest start I can think off. No one will help you in your independence war as no one dislikes a PU'd sweden. You'll probably be fighting solo vs Sweden, Norway, Denmark, perhaps Holstein and Denmark's allies.

@@owenmurphy8447 Personal Unions do not get the liberty desire modifier for combined/related power to the ruling nation, so he could very much keep them loyal with support loyalists.

@@Mooffins But he had very old king and Aragon hated him. If your ruler dies while PU has negative opinion of you, the PU instantly breakes (even if they are loyal and had like -15 opinion)

Just got the Basque in Glory achievement over the weekend and the Navarra start is rough. Took a couple runs to get a start that could lead anywhere. However, once going, it was fun. Got Portugal as a vassal and Spain and France under PUs. Had to fight Austria and Spain to enforce the Spanish PU, but the French one is in the mission tree once you have Gascony.

I once did an ironman navarra run, got Castille+Aragon+Portugal+France+England under a Personal Union and formed Spain while all of them still existed - that was one unusual funny moment :')

Best aspect of the game mechanics to use as minor nations is using the estate privileges to get 15 prestige immediately which helps secure alliances, and increases army moral. Plus the indebted to the burghers is a great way to prevent the debt spiral since they are fixed at 1% interest

Sancho III of Pamplona (later renamed Navarre) did something similar. At the height of his power just before his death in 1035, he had vassalized most of the Pyrenees and even the nominally French Gascony, placed his son on the throne of Castile as his vassal, and even held León. He had control of all of the non-Muslim portions of Iberia except for the Kingdom of Galicia, the county of Portucale, and county of Barcelona. Upon his death his empire was partitioned between his 3 legitimate sons (oldest got Navarra, second got Castile and León, third got the Pyrennes). The Basque King of Castille would later succeed in subjugating León, Galicia, and Portucale. Meanwhile one of Sancho's bastards managed to take over the Pyrenees and establish the Kingdom of Aragón. The descendants of Sancho III, all Basque, would continue to rule vast stretches of Iberia for centuries thereafter, losing their last holdings in 1234.

How did u win Aragon battles pls explain

Navarra is fun, it's definitely 'hard' if you don't know, but once you do it's pretty easy. I liked it even before it got its own mission tree. Totally doable once you know how to handle the 'bumps'. Sometimes it's better to bend over to Castile or Aragon and become their subject and then independence war with support if you can't ally France. If you can ally France it's easy, you can attack England but then get favours from France by taking nothing and giving them everything that they'd likely get on their own anyway then use those favours to wreck either Castile or Aragon. Though getting favours is a lot easier then it was before sooo. Edit: Wow having watched it you got it relatively easy, sure you needed a bit of luck but Aragon didn't have other major allies involved so you could solo it. Still well played regardless.

Empire of Mann achievement not only for how hard but how long it takes is harder than Navarre

After good time of AI Granada in Athens series it's time to conquer them by yourself!

Can any expierianced players give me insight on how to start as navarra? I mean I got 3k hours onnthe game with the baisilius and mare norsdom achivnents but navarra is such an enigma for me

what i hate about the iberian peninsula is that 9 times out of 10, catile portugal and england get alliances but then with no one else so you have to fight all 3 of them with no other possibilities..

Will you plan to go colonial? I think there is an event "Terranova" where if you fulfil the mission by owning Placentia with less than 10 cities you can move your capital to the new world
