Navajo Teachings: Who Are the Holy People

In the traditional way our Navajo people learn at a young age about the Holy People.
These teachings are only taught in the sacred ceremonies or sweat lodge.
There is one supreme Holy Person, the rest are sub Holy People meant to help the five-fingered being.
And uncomplicate things.
When you look at the world and all the different beliefs with the idea of Holy People in mind...
You might consider Adam and Eve... Noah, Gandhi, Mohammed, Buddha and others as Holy People.

I love how in many indigenous spiritualities there is room for all faiths and deities. Every person's spiritual ideas are equally valid and respected. That is an incredible trait for a society to possess.

Or there's connections Had the opportunity to speak with Shinto priest before as a Christian and we both agreed our ancestors saw some dark force that clearly left a mark on us. Shinto believe in similar concepts to sin and uncleanness the jews do. If you ever watched Princess Mononoke, you have a rough idea of the Shinto beliefs on the subject

  • @RayyanKesnan

@@roycehuepers4325 I'm sure there are connections! But the concept of spirituality in many societies is really just their particular spiritual experiences in their particular place. So each group can interpret their own spiritual experiences in their own way and benefit from their own unique practices. A lot of indigenous spiritual practices are practical lessons of how to live in that group's particular environment that came as a spiritual revelation. The idea of universal religions like Christianity is very unique in the sense that it doesn't provide specific lessons or practical benefits for living in a particular place, unless you were a Jew in 1st century Palestine. But that's why many cultures could "convert" to Christianity and still retain their own spiritualities, they just thought it would be beneficial to add it into their practices but they still needed their particular spiritual knowledge to live well for where they are and who they are.

Grateful to the Diyin Diné’é & the breath of life they give. Shicheii dóó shimásaní always taught us that we, Diné, are the children of the Holy People & we are sacred beings created out of love from Yoołgai Asdzáá. Both my parents are really traditional and taught me to live under the Holy Ones’ guidance-from my daily dawn prayers to them & my turquoise to identify myself & speaking Navajo. Always remember: “Diyin Diné’é bizaad bee yádeelti.” We speak the Holy People’s language.

No Father I lived among your people and was saddened that the young wish for modern ideas. I spent 3 days with clan grandmother she was well over 100 years. The family lived out by Navajo mountain. but she lives out in the desert up in Utah about 100 miles from where we were . Great Grandmother needed a ride to come to town for about three days so she could get some things that she needed .I volunteer. I’m so glad I did but we didn’t speak the same language, but I always had an interpreter. She was hard on her Granddaughter’s but they always smiled when she was scolding them.My interpreter would tell me why she was being scolded, and that made me smile. I had never been around someone that old. I went up on the Mesa several times for what they called the storytelling time . great grandmother was there with her clan and I brought her.The stories got real interesting. She was a child during the great walk she shared without emotion how when the Calvary came two of her cousins were up in the rocks around the sacred Mountain and the rest of them were going up the mountain to get away from the soldiers. They all turned around and looked at the soldiers coming down the trail.. what she remember was the lead officer had all his uniform on with his metals Tassels on shoulder. HerTwo male cousins were down lower and they had the bows, and they fired on the officer, and hit him when that turned into her cousin being captured and dragged to death down the trail. I don’t often remember my dreams, but I do remember her coming to me in a dream, and she no longer was the earth.bound She came out of the sky and took me for a ride is a very strange dream. The very next day I went to a powwow on the big island Hawaii put on by the Marine Corps boys from the reservation. There was an artist there, and he had different charcoal sketches.I noticed this one picture that look just like her I said to the young man do you know this woman he said no.I said I know her I told him that the only thing he got wrong was that, the wrinkles in her face were very deep. He looked at me and said that’s what he saw originally but he changed it and softened it. He said do you want to buy it? No, I have no desire to have it she’s embedded in my consciousness and I went 7:12 about my business watching the dancers.

Sweden owns all the fire, the cost is their population. You see, the Earth and Fire are related. They use the same laws. The laws used to farm People is illegal as it leads to war. We farm an ecosystems natural resources to max capacity, where fire increases populations. The competition being faced by the People, is usually faced by the Animals only. 'How to make life simple.' I think we have largely lost this in our shared society, and it's causing so much harm. It's as if we are building a shelter for ourselves, but we make it so large and hard to manage, we end up trapping ourselves, and are dying within the thing we created. All we really needed was something to keep the rain off.

With all due respect, you're not "part" *anything* , you either are American Indian, or not. I mean no disrespect by saying so. I am happy to help you understand what I mean. American Indian Nationalities do not consider one to be "partially" Native or otherwise, you either are a descendant of the federal tribes, or not. Blood Quantum doesn't define if one Native is more Native than another, but it does define who is Native or not. If you have a Blood Quantum or Tribal citizens from an American Indian tribe that's what defines you as a Native American. Not part anything. I would just encourage you to identify as American Indian, if that's what your ancestry is, *and* whatever else you are, not "part" either one, fully both things.

I can understand keeping spiritual knowledge to yourself. Many people mock the religious and they only ever heard of what they use to mock Christianity... They don't really want to know or they would take heed and try to follow, yet they only want to hear something to turn it on you. I feel pity for those who go through this short life arrogantly and believe they're gone when it ends... They may well be for not thinking more on what they cannot see and only thinking of themselves.

I pray the leaders of all tribes come together for a sweat. To share, commune, and breath hope for the people during these darkened times. Build a confederacy again. One stick is easily broken, but bundled together, they are hard to break. Be the chord that ties the tribes together. You and a few others are the last keepers of your knowledge. It must be preserved and past on after the great cleansing. I pray for you all. A beautiful, peace filled people.

Coming to listen here as a Latter-Day Saint, this good Elder blows my mind. I am glad you keep your teachings of the fourth world secret and sacred. They are not lawful to be discussed with those who are not ready and would cast disparage them. It is a blessing to know such things are had still among the Navajo.

This type of thinking will always be side lined because it teaches you how to live as a part of the world and nature and not just on this planet. It is an understanding that you are to the world as a whole as the world is to you. I picked up a few live lessons from my grandmother before she passed on, and i am telling my children thise same stories. Sometimes young people will set and learn from a parent, another times they will not listen to their parents. The channel is a fantastic way to teach the young people that learn better from others. Thank you so much, I truly appreciate your work in spreading knowledge. Thank you

Reminds me of my tata Silverio however he was a Chiricahua Apache which is still Dineh. He nor my dad grew up with this traditional ancestral knowledge. Having grown up as a Chicano in Barrio Logan San Diego the ways of the Chiricahua weren’t taught or passed down as they are in the San Carlos or Mescalero reservations. I feel it is my duty as the next generation to rekindle the warrior spirit that we Dineh are known for having. To continue learning more about Cochise, Victorio, Mangas, etc great Dineh chiefs of my people who can’t be forgotten about. Your videos give us all life and make some of us reflect deeply on ourselves and the world 🪶 Ussen blesses you

Million times wiser than rap songs. Out of the overflow of your soul, words come out. Today's youth fixated on sex, drugs, and violence cannot even hear Wally's wisdom. The parents who had kids but didn't raise them is who Wally is talking to.

Very much true. Generation Z is doomed. And will be judged when they take their last breathe. Humanity has become increasingly corrupt and degenerate. Gen z, is a perfect example of that. The Hopi prophecy speaks of those who are close to mother earth, nature, and God will be saved during our judgement day.
