This is my life goal, is to work at Naughty Dog. I currently live in Wyoming, so it's highly looked down upon to do something other than agriculture. I love games, they inspire me so much and I would love the opportunity to create something like The Last of Us or Uncharted. I'm already studying concept art and drawing constantly, and planning on college at The Art Institutes to further my knowledge. :)

i'm in highschool and live in australia right now (born and raised here) but I've always wanted to be a concept illustrator and character designer for naughty dog. i think i now know that my first step to work there after art school and university is to move to LA and experience america. never thought i'd say that, since australia is where i belong, but i also truly believe i belong at naughty dog. see you soon, LA!

Naughty Dog's games are the only ones I've played where I miss the characters when a game finishes.

This is the company that I'd love to work for in the future!! I hope that I'll be able to develop my skills over the next few years in my career and to be able to work for a company who have created all the games I grew up with; it would be phenomenal.

Videos like this remind me why i started to study game design in college

All I've ever wanted to do ever since I played jak and daxter when I was 2, was just work for naughty dog and make amazing video games. I'm gonna put everything I've got into making that happen. I've never been consistent on anything in my life except for video games and looking up info on how animations, motion capture, A.I, and concept art are done and made.

***** Nah...although the story of TLOU was virtually flawless and well rounded, it still leaves so much room for at least one more story to be told. I see so many hints in the original game at a definite sequel, and true story, I literally just beat the game for the fourth time a few hours ago. And if Nolan North is to be believed, he pretty much confirmed a TLOU 2. But Naughty Dog is one of, if not THE most innovative studio ever, they've definitely got a new IP they're cooking up besides the possible sequels.

I swear i'm going to work for you guys, i swear everything i'm doing right now is going to be worth it. I'm learning modeling, drawing, and the fundamentals of video games all to serve me in the future to be a character artist. but first I have to work my way up. But in the end I know I will work with naughty dog

Los Angeles is a very culturally diverse, liberal place to be. People don't have many hang ups and is a pretty trendy place. My thing about leaving though, was wanting to be a home owner. It wasn't going to happen there. A pretty average 2-3 bedroom home will cost upwards of 700-900 grand. So I ended up moving. But as far as opportunity goes, it doesn't get better.

I just want to work with naughty dog too, I will try my best for make that possible one day :D

Amazing studio/developer... Remember jax and dexter on ps2 was when I really noticed the talent was hooked on all jax games and then when uncharted drakes fortune on ps3 was a release title it blew my mind along with the serious.... Then they made TLOU and it smashed it - story and mp... Cant wait for UC4 and TLOU2....but please please make Jak4!!!!!

Depends what you want to do: Concept Art: not much, just draw! And also have a decent knowledge of Photoshop and create some awesome concepts for your portfolio. There are courses available, but they're not necessary. 3d art: have some basic knowledge of traditional art but be fluent with 3d software such as 3ds Max,Maya etc. Also the knowledge of how to use a level editor like the one in ue4 is essential(ue4 is free). Same as concept art, what you create for your portfolio here is more important then a degree, all the knowledge is freely available online. Programming: pick a programming language, learn it, learn basic game programming theory, make a game, learn more complex techniques, make a game with those techniques, rinse and repeat. With programming I would recommend also taking a bachelor's in computer science, but at the end of the day it's what you make that will get you a job.
