Totally agree with the sunscreen (and everything else). I’m a dietitian and have noticed that once I get my clients off of processed foods, the number one comment about their skin is that they don’t burn anymore. I am fairly certain it is the elimination of the seed oils in those foods (soy and such, especially in combination with a high sugar content). I have always hated mainstream sunscreen (especially when I see parents spraying it all over their kids - even in their faces!) and if you eat well, you truly don’t need it and there are other, better alternatives, carrot seed oil and raspberry seed oil work well. Love your content!

If you rub the milky substance that comes out of the dandelion stem when removing the flower onto a wart will make it magically disappear. I've experienced this in three different cases.

@Teesha Stutzman in my part of the world (middle Europe) deer tallow is being used for centuries in Germanic traditional medicine for healing deep cracks on heels and nourishing rough skin on hands and elbows. An ointment based on deer tallow can be bought in drugstores and pharmacies, its called "hirsch talg creme" (hirsch = deer , in German)

Love your topic concerning sunscreen. I am originally from the northern hemisphere and I have fair skin tone. I lived in Australia for several years in my 30’s. The sun there is extreme at times so sunscreen lotions factor 50 were at every home and office - understandable I thought. However, what I found out over time, as you are referring to, is that I developed a foundation tan/protection by gradually building it, but the healthier I ate (think Mediterranean oils and veggies) my skin tolerated the sun even better! There is a lot of fear in Australia concerning the sun, however staying only indoors, cover up 95% of your body, and using sun factor 50, is in my opinion more stressful and unhealthy for the body! Our bodies need the sunshine. I feel and live healthier in the sun ☀️🥑🥰

Hi Heidi. I love this video & can't wait to try natural skin care. Wanted to ask. I love that you did a video talking about diets. But I was wondering if you can do one specific to weight loss, like what herbs, foods, nutrients are good for it. Kind of like how you did 2 videos on high blood pressure, one where you gave your take on if people should be prescribed medication for HBP and then you did another video on natural help for chronic HBP. I use that as an example because hearing you talk about HBP in 2 different ways was helpful. So was wondering if you can do something like that for weight loss. Because you did a GREAT video on your take on all these diets people are going on, I was wondering if you can do another video talking about weight loss but this time, a video that can go in your natural remedies playlist about herbs, nutrients, foods, & maybe even essential oils that are good for weight loss. 🙂

I sure miss using the soap I use to buy from you! but I do realize you need time for yourself and for the grandkids. I am guessing it may be from the stress of the move. I rarely get blemishes but for several months in a row my stress levels have been increasing and a couple of weeks ago or so when it was especially bad, I did get several on my face at once. Just one of the many ways high stress will manifest in the body. Shortness of breath and upper chest and/or back pains are a couple more (I have been dealing with those two as well but it is getting a little better and the blemishes cleared up)

I had acne horribly as a teenager and took several meds for it and it just kept coming back. When I was in my mid 20's I found out I had celiac disease and after a few weeks of no gluten my face cleared up for the first time since I was around 12. Here recently, I'm in my mid 30's now and it's came back with Vengeance and leaving scars. I'm currently trying to have enough motivation to do an elimination diet to see if that is the problem again. I feel like I've tried all kinds of essential oils ect and it's just not going away. I've been meaning to try your balm and wondered if it be good for scars? I've been on the lookout for the best scar treatment as the scars left behind are looking worse than the acne itself.. I never thought about dandelions for skin care. I should try that as well ! Thank you for all you do ! I love all your videos

I oil cleanse and use a cream suitable for acne prone skin as my cheeks and chin still break out occasionally. Soap tends to get in my eyes and no matter how moisturizing a soap is, it makes the skin drier over time. For a time I did use soap on my face. I prefer the oil. My T-zone used to be oily but now in my early forties that area is dry and flaky. Eating flax seeds are good for part of preventing acne. Learned that tip from Bubble and Bee Organic. From my research cystic acne is caused by diet.

Direction matters if people brush their skin to promote a healthier lymphatic drainage, which brushing does. In that case, as a Licensed Massage Therapist, I would definitely say brush toward groin, arm pits, and hear. Lymph flows a certain way, and brushing your sking to enable better lymph flow should be done correctly. For simple exfoliation, people can do whatever they want.

Yes, I drink various fresh mint teas all through the spring and summer all from my own garden. I also dry up a bunch to make teas for the off season.

Heidi, I find this so interesting. I’m wondering if I can make an herbal infused oil using some bulk tea that is organic that I buy online? I have several blends that have several different flowers and herbs in them. Would that work? I’d like to try the skin cream recipe.

Heidi do you use the natural bristle brushes in the shower or out of the shower like before you shower?

In the shower. To me it is pointless to not do it in the shower. You still have to rinse off anyway.

Thank You Mrs Heidi for this video ☺️☺️. Question ❓ my daughter has Very oily skin and hair... But she has dandruff, any suggestions on what would help without adding a lot more oils? She works 3 days a week so she could do like a leave in treatment maybe 🤔🤔. Thanks for any advice 🙏🙏 Kendra

Sometimes very oily simply means the skin is just over producing to prevent dry skin. This can also be caused from using very drying soaps and astringents. This will cause the skin to go into over drive creating an imbalance. Some people find switching to natural oils helps this balance get restored

I shared in the video what I use as a face wash and that is either my homemade soap or the Dr. Jacobs soap I mentioned and I use my homemade skin cream for my whole face, even under my eyes.

I was having issues with walking so the doctor ordered a x-ray and they found out I have osteoarthritis so I told her what I was doing after the x-ray because I looked it up and I was talking advil for the pain she said that if I need something stronger than she can right a prescription and I was thinking no I don't want to do that because as far as I am concerned that is a nother way they make there money get you hooked on a drug that you should need to take and then they keep upping the price until you have to go without or pay them and I don't want to take anymore drugs than I am

I have a copy of Sally Fallon's book - Nourishing Traditions. Vitamin F is mentioned in it. (Page 255) "Vitamin F was first discovered as a part of the wheat germ oil vitamin complex; at least The term vitamin F was first used to designated the essential fatty acid fraction ." Basically it is part of the E complex- the two vitamins have a synergistic support of cell division and cell reproduction.you need both to get calcium to the bones. If I understand correctly it is inagood butter.
