Great video! I would like to hear about hormone balance during menopause.
More videos for women and men hormone support/health! I work in the holistic health industry and I've seen such an increase in hormone related issues even more common is younger ages now as well. This video has been tremendously helpful, insightful and informative! Thank you!!
My take away is milk thistle and more meat for my estrogen dominance. I know it's less when I'm keto. Estrogenic foods like soy and flax send me into a feeding frenzy. Also, I was thinking about what the Chinese would know about estrogen dominance. I haven't seen any Chinese who are estrogen dominant. Every woman going back to my great grandmother was, especially after menopause. I identify with the CornishX chickens - bred to be estrogen dominant so they gain weight twice as fast on a soy diet. My chicken farmer taught me that.
Also would recommend Raspberry leaf tea for PMS relief and taking Celtic salt on the tongue before drinking water for Magnesium and to rehydrate (look up Barbara ONeil!) ❤❤
Coming off birth control into menopause created havoc on my hormones…Ashwaganda & maca really helped my fatigue, anxiety and libido along with body aches!!
Natural Family planning originally Catholic based is 99.99% effective and you can learn to read your own body to either not get pregnant or to plan to get pregnant. It's a beautiful thing to know how your body works!❤

Dr. Axe, ive been using your collagen bone both powder and it is AMAZINGLY HEALING. Super helpful with healing my gut and improving my pcos symptoms. I love it. Everyone has been commenting on my hair too. Also, ive been listening since 2016. Thank you for the work you do! I enjoyed the tip about working out! I really learned to listen to my body and do what feels beneficial to me. When I’m groggy i will walk. When im hyper i will run. It’s all about loving and being gentle to our bodies. I think when we women understand that and treat our bodies gently, we optimize our health especially reproductive health🥰🥰🥰thank you again!
I’m really thrilled seeing all of your posts lately! Such helpful information! Thank you so much Dr Axe 👏

Great video💕 Thank you and Congratulations to you, your wife and growing family!
Great info. Thank you!!!
Ok my jaw dropped when I heard ‘lady comp’!!! Ahh yesss I used this EVERY SINGLE day for 500 days!!! I learned sooo much. And yes one could just take their own temperature and chart but this little device does help. Keep it right at your bedside because you must take your temperature BEFORE even standing … to go pee or get up. I was able to sell my device once I was no longer in need so ladies please check on line for gentle used if the price point of new doesn’t fit your budget. I also used a microscope ( extremely budget friendly) for mucosal viscosity and I found that a little tricky and second guessed a lot but it was helpful once again to learn about one’s own body and it’s cycles. We’re looking for patterns that tell our hormonal story . Awesome show Dr.Axe, loving the content .. THANK YOU 🙏🏻 💖
Thank you Dr. Axe for your candid advice and your professional opinions. I am a Chinese and the philosophy of Yin and Yang in CTM has particular resonance for me. I like you giving suggestions by separating genders, it's very helpful and right to the point. Thank you!

Thank you for what you do Dr. Axe. This was so helpful. Ive been breastffeding my 6th baby for 18 months and now I know what I need to do for myself. Best to you and your family!

I work in the vitamin aisles at a local sprouts, I sell your ancient nutrition female vitality organ supplements for help with menopausal symptoms. It helped me tremendously! also, I let ladies know to focus on adrenal support.
I've used the temperature method for years for birth control and it works great.
Love this. I highly recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Welschler if anyone is interested in an alternative, non hormonal approach to birth control.
My daughter at 14 wanted to get the HPV that starts with a G….because all her friends were getting it…as a RN I know you need to wait if they release a new med as something will show up in at least a year or 2. I told her no…she had to wait to see if anything is wrong. I was correct. She didn’t get it nor would I recommend it. Pediatrics RN for 12 yrs. RN for 24 now….

Hi Josh Axe New to your channel. Love the advice. Very helpful. Thank you for that. I do have a question, I'm approaching menopause. Right now I'm trying to get healthy before it happens. I have yeast build up. But I've seen your video on that topic, so I am addressing that. But menopause, any thoughts? Food wise, herbs ? I'm exercising. I'm High estrogen. So I have changed my eating. But I'm just wondering what else I can do? Sorry for rambling. Have a wonderful day. Wendy Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦
Histamine intolerance is a factor in severe cramps. NuMedica Seasonal Shield contains Nettle that I cannot find a comparable substitute for. It is expensive, but the cramps stopped. HistoPlex by Biotics Research also helps. Discontinue prescription medications, cramps stop.
I take ashwagandha every day.
Thank you! It was very informative! My situation is that I have a little bit of high testosterone, I started taking evening primrose oil and it probably got a bit better (the smell of my sweat has changed to a better one). I have been doing ashtanga yoga (which is quite challenging) for a year and I had been to the gym for a long time before that. My biggest takeaway is everything actually, haha, but the biggest one is Chinese herbs and treatment. Thank you again!

How can women take their own placenta after birth? I know Chinese people consume that. But I didn’t have chance to have it when I gave birth in Canada. (People think I am out of my mind) So happy that a western doctor understands the concept!

Do you have any suggestions on pmdd and the withdrawal of the hormones during menstruation? Is there anything new to help with this? I have seen your other videos on hormones

Does Ashwagandha increase testosterone level in someone with Poly Cystic Ovaries? And I also wondered if it increases DHT to cause alopecia? Thanks
I am a 59 yo woman. I have been with an Integrative Doctor and a functional med practioner for 3 years. I am currently on bioavailable troches of Estrogen, Estrodial, Testosterone and progesterone. I get blood work 2x a year with a follow up with each dr to check my hormone levels. I have even gotten to the point where I understand my body to skip dosages. (the presence of chin hairs, or ovaries pinching) I also supplement with DIM and Calcium D-Glucarate to detox the excesses. My next appointment isn't for another 6 months. I will discuss a peptide protocol at that time. My diet is already paleo which has benefited me greatly. If you have any other points I should consider to either research or discuss with my medical team, I would appreciate any feedback on my current protocol. Especially considerations for the bioavailable troche hormones. The peptides protocol is a new subject for me. I plan to go down that rabbit hole for sure!

@@MyWellnessJourney2023 OH! I forgot... My thyroid numbers, although within "range" were at the bottom of the range. My integrative perscribed NP thyroid 30 mg. every other day. Latest blood work put my thyroid numbers smack in the middle. I did develop 2 nodules on my thyroid that are small and intermediate. Not within invasive moves management according to the integrative. Currently on a 6 month check back. I honestly am not 100% if NP thyroid RX is bioavailable. Researching for the layman is exhaustive! However I highly suspect that is the case as both drs are aware that I'm trying to not do anything synthetic.

I wondered if you could touch on balancing hormones particularly for woman who have had breast cancer and entering menapause. I'm 52 and perimenopauseal, menapause is just around the corner. I'm worried about a reoccurring cancer and all the diseases that come with menapause such as heart disease and bone loss. I'm on the fence with bioidenticle hormones, I don't think that's the answer. Although it seems a lot of women take them with no issues. I'm not sleeping well and seem to get warm sometimes. I feel like a video on this would benefit a lot of women. Gynecologists seem to be unhelpful. Probably because they little to no training on the topic.

Ive had chronic migraine for nearly my whole life. Since i was 6, im 30 now. Many people in my family get them but they only seem to get them occasionally. Im on disability because i get them about 5 days a week. Ive tried everything. I recently got off of topiramate. Ive been taking magnesium for years. I had an allergic reaction to feverfew years ago. My headaches seem to be from food, weather changes ( barometric pressure) and definitely structural as well. I always seem to be tense in my neck and shoulders. Ive been to chiropractors but unfortunately it didnt seem to help. I also get migraines from hormones, its always right before my period i get them the worst. I really want to treat them naturally. I want to have children one day and i dont want to rely on pharmaceuticals

Determine which foods cause your migraines first, it wouldn’t make sense to be eating things that give you headaches while trying to treat them. It was eggs and histamines for me.

@welshlady212000 I do know which foods cause them. I've done the eliminate diet many times over the years. I do avoid them. I was just mentioning it because Dr axe said there were 2 primary causes of headaches and I was explaining my situation. I do avoid those foods but I still have other triggers. It's citrus foods, msg, red meat, red wine, sulfites, aged cheeses and many more.
