I visited here in May of 2015. It was sad to see that they had so few visitors (I was the first to visit in two weeks). Almost all of the forest has been cut down in Ivory Coast and tourism is maybe the only thing that keeps this last stretch of forest in the Southwestern part of the country from being turned into a Cacao or Oil Palm plantation (enjoy your chocolate kids). Spending time watching these chimpanzees is one of the more interesting things I have done in my life. The small fee I paid to do it I don't think can support their project. Djouroutou (Tai National Park) is difficult to reach (2-3 days from Abidjan if you don't have a jeep like this guy does), but it was worth the effort (the bush taxis or in my case riding in the back of a Cacao truck in and of themselves are an interesting experience one should try while in Africa). Thank you for sharing your experiences. More people need to get out there and see these things so they do not disappear.

I hope this place succeeds. Pristine forest in West Africa is nearly gone. The West African lion is nearly gone, and so many monkeys and little antelopes are disappearing fast.

Thanks, I love watching all the videos, it makes me long for an overland trip and also home, that is South Africa, currently living in a desert city. Question please, have you had any encounters with tropical diseases, like malaria?

Amazing! What an experience! Watching that big fella use that rock. I swear, if they had opposable thumbs we would have had a real run for our money in the evolutionary race.

Murphy Asharaf - Dan has 6K subscribers. That's pretty good. - We all need to keep talking up The Road Chose Me whenever we can - hopefully there'll be a break-through soon and Dan's adventures will go "viral". I can't wait for when that happens!

also you should release more content (or make your videos longer and maybe do some live commentary on some parts like a vlog)

Dylan Souvage - yes, Dan's videos could be a bit longer, but I believe 10 minutes would be the max for this type of vid. Also, remember, Dan's dealing with limited bandwidth. Overall, he's doing an amazing job!

Great vid and images. You need help with your titles dude, cause for this quick of a fun video you should have way more hits.

Non-stop music overlay for whatever effect is unnecessary and not helpful.
