I'm Ghanaian and my first visit to Ivory Coast was in 2008 after i completed high school and damn that country is beautiful. I like to read and i was going to study English and history in college so I went to a bookstore to get some books and it was a skyscraper. A bookstore that's a skyscraper? 😂😂. Just books meehhn, i could die in that store 😅. I've traveled a few more countries and live in the US now and Ivory Coast and one of the most beautiful countries I've been. 😍 I LOVED IT 😍 ❤
Imagine Ivory Coast without the political instability of Early 2000, kudus to Ivorian leaders including Dider Drogba for their incredible charismatic approach to make sure peace prevail in Ivory Coast. 20 years ago, it was time for Asian Countries including Singapore were thy have realized high level of nation building and infrastructural growth, this time is now for Africa. Actually the world's attention is turning towards not necessarily on slavery and neocolonization but on trade abd investment, Africa by far is the youngest population however gor us to embrace this vital growth that Africa will realized will definitely require effective and and visionary leaders which unfortunately are few.
As a ugandan I appreciate west African countries most especially Ghana and Ivory coast

The problem is that the foreign languages we speak separate us more than the physical borders between our countries: for example, a Ghanaian knows better what is happening in Kenya than what is happening in Côte d'Ivoire, even though Kenya is further away. And vice versa: Ivorians know more about what's going on in far-off Cameroon than they do in nearby Ghana.

You are contradicting yourself when you say foreign language is separating us yet pointing out how someone in west Africa knows more about east Africa than his neighbors - the reason that’s even possible is due to the foreign language that some of you born overseas complain about. Each African country has so many tribes and African languages that without the foreign languages, we would not be able to communicate 😂.

Africans do not build anything, all buildings, roads and infrastructure with the technology that goes with it is imported. We need to stop looking at those things and lie to ourselves that we are developed or developing. Until you can make your own technology home made and sustain modern systems to an extent you cannot be considered developed. It is about who makes those things that people use or consume more than who has them. Money is embedded in the ability to master technology not resources or infrastructure. made by other people for you.

Born in Abidjan, left for the state when I was 10 months old. I’ve visited my country several times and I am proud to be Ivorian! On est la!
As an Ivorian I wanted to thank Wode Maya for this Ivory Coast episode. There are many major projects coming up soon amongst which the (surface) metro already in construction and to be up and running in 5 years from now.

@francoismartin4405

@@mamizeehshonesty367 I don’t know where you take your figures from but the reality is that you have all type of investors in the Ivory Coast. For instance the cocoa industry, the most important industry of the country is dominated by the Americans, the Belgians and the Singaporeans. Lately we’ve seen Chinese, Indians, Turkish, Nigerians and the Morrocans strongly coming in the construction and in the banking industry. There is also a new trend that started about 10 years ago with Africans from the diaspora (chiefly from francophone countries) settling down and launching all kind of start-ups in different sectors. The investors community is therefore quite mixed as you can see.

Good video, it is true the image we have in Europe of Africa is distorted. If you ask any educated person to say where superman was born and what kryptonite is, they surely know, but if you ask if they know 3 African flags, they probably don't. It is part of colonialism and neocolonialism. Good video and FORZA Africa that you are the future.

We need to showcase our African reality to the African diaspora. The rest of the world 9read "west") knows all this but has used most of their resources distortion the reality and projecting poverty, disease, misery, lack. It is as if African film makers were to focus their works and films only on San Fransisco and then say "this is what the west looks like." But we should speak to each other without alien mediators.

The whole of West Africa must learn from Ivory Coast, in terms of to organise a city. This is the best city in that region in terms of zoning, cleanliness, transportation, etc. No tuk tuk, boda boda madness
Well designed and organized city. Love the cleanliness and bus system. Looks like a wonderful place to visit.
