Synopsis:
One of the most popular movie comedies of all time is also the film that made John Belushi a star. This raunchy, screwball comedy, directed with madcap zest by John Landis, offers a relentless spoof of 1960's college life by following the hilarious adventures of the Delta fraternity. In addition to Belushi as "Bluto" Blutarsky, the outstanding cast includes Tim Matheson, Tom Hulce, Stephen "Flounder" Furst, Karen Allen, Donald Sutherland, Peter Riegert and Kevin Bacon, along with Otis Day and the Knights with their show-stopping performance of "Shout."

Apparently that Jack Daniels bottle is actually full of tea, but I wouldn't have been surprised if John Belushi had actually downed a real bottle of whisky.

The college sweatshirt is still probably the best costume ever worn by a movie character

Alas, most of the college students of today would be "offended" and "traumatized" by the scenes in this movie.

I love his reaction to when the moving guy drops the entire case of beer. It's as if he watched a loved one die in front of him. Lol

This movie is what started the whole Will Ferrell, John C Reilly, Owen/Luke Wilson type movies that came years later.

At the time, there was nobody funnier than John Belushi. All of his Animal House scenes were hilarious. He was the star of that movie, supposedly on drugs the whole time, but whatever. Then he went on to do the same on The Blues Brothers. Priceless. And of course there was SNL. Rest In Peace.

This was by far. My favourite film as a teenager so many great scenes it's a crime that it hardly gets. Played anymore. R. I. P John Belushi

The scene when he says, " See if you can guess what I am now", puts food in his mouth and then spits it out, " A Zit, get it???" gets me every time laughing. Always love that scene along with the scene where he destroys the singing guy's guitar. To me Animal House is John Belushi's best movie. But he was very good in the Blues Brothers and love him during his Saturday Night Live days. If there was no John Belushi, there would've no Chris Farley who idolized John Belushi.
