Thanks Kyle for the review. I can attest to their effectiveness. I have tried 3 other windscreens and they all caused buffeting (I'm 6.1') on my Africa Twin 2016. I chose National Cycle VStream Tall as a last resort and I am glad I did. My test was a 6,500 mile ride around the country through super hot (100ºF plus) to super chill (high 20's ºF) and wicked storms. I did and can ride for 10 hours plus and if wasn't for the VStream I would not be able to do that. I only changed they way it is mounted to the bike as I didn't like their solution and it wasn't sturdy enough. I added a PUIG clip on 180mm screen on top which makes it perfect, plus when it is really hot I was twist the PUIG to direct air flow down to me.

Will these windscreens fit on the V-Strom 800 non-DE edition?

Thanks for watching! I have reached out to National Cycle to confirm, but ... looking at images it seems the mounting bracket is the same, so I would guess YES.

Hello Kyle I have a couple questions for you if you have time? I recently bought the Suzuki v strom 800 DE the windscreen is not tall enough for me and it has too much wind noise on the freeway. I am 6 foot 3 and with big shoulders my shoulders are 61 inches across front and back measurement. My question is would you go with the tall one and how was your wind protection on the freeway? I know you're gonna make a future video but I'm going to do an order today and I need to do this soon because I ordered another one that hasn’t shipped yet. My last question is what tire do you run on your 800DE? I would like to run a off road tire that leans more towards the street. I've been watching a lot of your videos trying to decide what kind of tire I want to run for my bike, but it's been very difficult for me to narrow it down, so I was wondering what do you run on your bike? the twisties is still part of my motorcycle riding so I do a lot of twisties and I have an area where there's some off road areas and I don't have to go too far. I need to be able to ride on the freeway to get to the off-road areas, so I need a little combination of both. If you have a time to answer these questions I appreciate your time. I've been watching your videos for a little while and I really appreciate the information you give us have a nice day. I am currently running stock tires and not that impress by them.

What's up! Thanks for your message. The tall feels really tall... but I haven't yet ridden with it. The 800DE is FUN. Super smooth and quick to accelerate. As for tires, the stock tires are good on the street ONLY. My go-to is the Motoz Rallz rear and Dual Venture front. Great traction everywhere. More street... the Bridgestone AX41 or Motoz GPS or Mitas Endueo Trail + Wednesday I'll have an idea between the mid and tall screens.

@@manybikes Not much! Thanks for the feedback and your time to reply. I am enjoying the 800 De very much so. I had a pan am until the clutch burn out in less than 2k miles and the new clutch started slipping again. So I bought the Suzuki for reliability. Plus living in the Bay Area with pot holes the 800 DE eats them for dinner. Does your current tire set up handle the street and the twisties well? That is a consideration for me. Also on the wind screen you sold me on the quality. I will end up with a tall one. Because I am going and extra inch on the seat to 34 or 35 inches. I am looking forward to your video on Wednesday.

@@manybikes The lower portion is curved. It creates a parabola effect. It effectively combines the suns rays and focuses them like a laser. If you leave the bike parked in front of your house for a day, as the sun moves across the sky, the melt pattern on the dash also moves. Slipstream tells owners to cover the windscreen when not being ridden or to park the bike facing a certain direction do that this doesn't happen. I don't remember which direction they said because the damage is already done to my KLR and it's a moot issue at this point.

@@manybikes It's right on their website: "CAUTION: Sunlight Heat Buildup Sunlight reflected off the inside curvature of the windscreen can, at certain times of the day, cause extreme heat buildup on the motorcycle's instrument panel and possibly melt it! Exercise care in parking your bike to avoid this. Park your motorcycle in the shade or place an opaque cover over the instrument panel. Note that this is a common issue with all OEM and aftermarket windscreens that have a pronounced or convex curvature. Sun-induced heat damage is generally not covered under your windscreen's warranty."
