@Rakesh Bhagat yea but gandhi wasn't the REASON for partition. Gandhi merely agreed to it when he realised that the blood thirsty muslims will not have it any other way. There was nothing gandhi could do. Even if he had not agreed to it, it would have happened eventually. Maybe not in 1947 but 48..Or 50..Or 55. But partition was inevitable after the muslim league planted the idea in the muslim's mind that hindus will not let them live peacefully. But aren't you just glad it happened? The worst of the lot got out then.

Nathuram Godse should have done it much before he did. He could have saved india from partition and Gandhi family taking over reins of politics. Sardar Patel was chosen as first PM by majority but gandhi asked him to resign and let Nehru become PM. What a big thorn in our India's ass. Other thorn Gandhi gave us for life is Porki's next door.

MrCitizenwarrior what facts are we talking about? the only fact that is worth considering is that he murdered the father of the nation. agreed nathuram godse did not like the partition...but mahatma Gandhi also did not like the partition. its only when hindus and muslims started to kill each other agitated by the fire set in by muslim league did Gandhi consider partition. and it was the best solution at that time. I fail to understand how people think of godse as a hero!!! was mahatma Gandhi a joker? or a dictator?? no he was a man respected by millions. not only in india but abroad too. his name still commands respect. There are a million things that happen politically that are not liked by a lot of people. u don't go on killing somebody for it. that too a man of that stature. as the years go by...we are forgetting what mahatma Gandhi did for our country.

Bharat had been a great civilisation for thousands of years, and it truly imnuature to call Gandhi, who was born in the 19th century to the Father of the Nation It is a reward given by Nehru for supporting him in all his game plans, like back stabbing Subhase Bose, side kicking Patel to became the first PM and even supporting Muslims allout at tve cost of Hindus...... But what Ghodse did was a stupid mistake by killing Gabdhi. He killed the physical body only and the 'Mahatma' in Gandhi grew up to newer heights after his assassination. Ghodse should have used his pen, instead of pistol and should have fought him day in day out. Thus he could have killed the 'Mahatma ' in him,with his relentless fight with his pen, post independence and could have left alone the 'Gandhi' in him for the natural death.

He is absolutely right. I support Nathuram Godse. Gandhi was never a rashtrapita or something. That was misleading concept from congress. Nathuram Godse was a real brave hero.
