I knew Nate and Joe back in the day when they were in Born In The Flood. Who knows, maybe you and I met each other once.

I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic. So just in case you're not then I completely disagree. I'd want any band to be much better live than the record....that's when you really know they're a great artist.

The official recording to this is in homage to the end sequence of he Blues Brothers movie, if i remember the quote. Superb stuff!

I used to work a hospital ward with serious DT patients... It is just as he described it. This song has to be based on personal knowledge to be so freaking accurate with the mood swings and emotion. Brilliant

Hearing a voice that sounds just as good live as on the radio is rare and very refreshing. Kudos.

its hard to clap with an offbeat and even harder for a whole crowd to get claps timed perfectly. some people clap after everyone else cus they cant hold a beat and so react and that effect cascades

This is why i love "Later… with Jools Holland" because im a metalhead, rocker, glam rocker, thrase metal fanboy, but because he gets so many different types of artists, bands on playing live i come across tunes, artists like this and i enjoy

+S Miller Couldn't agree more! The version on the records is very good, but really can't compete with this performance. Thing is, this is a common thing among bands & artists that have performed on Jools. A certain aura. I'm sure the technicians at the BBC adds to it as well :)

Great version. I feel the same about the live version of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. Never felt the power of that tune till I heard it live!

Yeah the recording quality is insane. My friends dad told me that it's pretty underwhelming being in the live crowd though because the sound is mainly set up for the recording purposes rather than the studio audience.

This song has a level of depth and layering that hasn't been created in a long time. Maybe ever.

This embodies everything I love about later live with Jooles Holland.
