Thats my favorite line from this whole song. It has so much meaning and truth behind it. Its sad that it is true tho.

I really admire how some of your songs shine light into perspectives that a lot of people don’t think about. My take on this song is how someone wants to change the world but they’re afraid of how power may change them instead. The lyrics describe of someone imaging them self as a king upon a throne. Very humble to admit you may not be able to hold power over others in your own hands. “Instant accesss is a flame that I don’t think I can control.” I really felt that line. I love the deep connection between all of yours songs and the emotions behind them! Another amazing song, thank you Nathan!

I'm so sorry, that's a terrible thing to happen

This hits me on a different level. My family and friends always put me on a "throne" because of how I do in school/life. For the longest time, I was stuck. I couldn't do anything that ruined that image. But then, my friends on Xbox came along. They are the ones that reach for me and help me breathe. No matter how good or bad a day is, they're always there for me. I never thought I'd see the day were that was put into song, but here I am. thank you.

Your writing reminds me alot of King David's. Like you have this heart after God's own. And in alot of David's writing he wrestles back and forth with the joy and pain and the light and the dark and the truth and doubt. And you tend to do that too. It's so human and so divine at the same time and it's sweet to the soul. That is probably the best example there is with his music...in Psalms David writes a lot of his fears and that is what you do Nathan with “Lonely” but then a couple chapters later David is now singing about the good that he now sees like your song “Innocence” it has been a pleasure watching these chapters write themselves and I can’t wait for the next one.

Every single line I feel chills down from my neck to my toes, I have never in my life heard a song that gave me chills like that. One of my absolute favorites that I watch/listen to multiple times each day.

I don't know if anyone will read this but I just wanna share it and continue listening to this amazing song. I was always bullied by people around me. For some reason, no one tried to be friends with me, or talk to me like I'm a normal person. I was always lonely and developed anxiety and depression throughout my life, feeling useless, worthless, nothing but someone who doesn't deserve to live and feeling like I'm disappointing even the people that doesn't know me. I don't know what Am I living for, why do I continue and why was I born in the first place? I feel like my place isn't here, that I'm not worth to even breath but when I think of dying, leaving everything behind, I'm scared. I'm scared of making my family suffer when it's all my fault I feel like this. Truth is, no one wants to die for real, we just want to feel happy, just a little time when we don't have to worry about every little thing, when we don't have to cry and feel guilty, when we would smile and be happy. We just want everything to be over, either the loss of someone or the feeling of being wortless because the people around you don't care at all, we all have scars we just can't forget. I always thought I'm alone, but I see so many people sharing stories and realize I'm not the only one and maybe I'm not someone who can say this but just... don't give up. Even if you feel like there is no tomorrow, like your world is crashing down and you have no place to hide, there are always better times and a good future that is waiting for you, you just have to be strong and face the world, cry if you want, do things that at least used to give you happiness and find someone to listen to you. It's always gonna be something for you, so... Believe in yourself, in the person you are and try to love yourself! ❤ I may not know you, but I love you, I know you're a strong person, a kind and amazing person and can do everything you dream for!

This is honestly such an amazing and powerful song. I've been listening to this for a while now and the depth of the lyrics alone give me goosebumps. My interpretation of the song is that it portrays the struggles of being in power, and it illustrates that point wonderfully. It brings up some points that people don't often think about and really drives home that 'With great power, comes great responsibility' phrase. Sure, it's great to have what you want when you want, but when getting something done is as simple as telling the people who work for you to do it and having whatever you say go, impulse becomes a scary thing. A moment's impulse or lack of judgement could result in so many deaths, or even your own death. I just think this song really drive that point home. It was amazingly written and sung and I'm looking forward to having it on repeat for many days to come!

This man, who pours his heart out in these masterpieces of heart and melodies, I wish I could thank him in person for sharing his heart in such a way. He helps me hold on for a little while longer. Awesome song, as always. I think my favourite line is “the throne where good men go to die”. My interpretation is that if a good man gets the throne, the good parts of him dies, and he’s left with the bad parts, so is is corrupted. Also congrats on 50k! ❤️ Edit: Er, 51k!

Hi Nathan, you are a gem! This song was so good. Just wanna suggest a few things (note: I'm not a know it all person, just my 2 cents as a everyday joe listener) I'm listening this song on a audiotechnica m50x on KZread (which has 160kbps audio quality) I felt the bass and it's reverberations?? were overwhelming on this one hence resulting in underwhelming the treble to quite a margin. Your vocals could be cranked up a bit to let the listener hear it more better. That is all. You are a really really good writer and a singer. Keep it up. God bless you!

I really loved this one. It's a super cool concept for a song, and something thematically you see more often in books than in music. It's an awesome angle for a character study. Some of the repetitive bits in the chorus had a bit of a circular effect, so in a way it felt like sinking. And then taking it up an octave at the end kind of felt like surging back out of the water. Really cool way to paint the picture of the lyrics melodically.

The past two years of my life truly feel embodied in this amazing song, I do so well in everything in life but my social life always slips. I don't have that person to keep me from "suffocating" and when I thought I might, it only slipped. I still hold hope that someone might be that for me, and it is music like this that reminds me of this. Keep it up.

I remember when I first heard this. I was going through some hard times financially and emotionally. I was depressed and at the gym. I was listening to random sad songs then this song played. It stayed on repeat for almost 3 hrs while I lifted. Now it is my main push song
