    Nathan you hit it on the head it doesnt have to be loud but you and Eric together are awesome you always smile and seem to be so gracious its so genuine 💗 ❤ unplugged like Lady in the Balcony is so beautiful

    Really enjoyed this interview. Thank you for this. Ed would you agree that Clapton's unplugged singlehandedly sparked an interest in the Acoustic sale of guitars that still has momentum to this day? I know the initial interest in acoustics but I believe that even after all these years it can be traced back to that unplugged program.

    Check out Martin Miller version of Layla with Lari Bassilio, tell me it isn’t fantastic. I am an absolute Clapton and East fan, I have both of their signature guitars, but the Miller version of that song is great.

    Super cool interview. Altijd vrolijke vent die Nathan. Misschien ook een leuk idee om die zangeressen die in de Clapton band zongen te interviewen? Weliswaar niet gitaar gerelateerd maar leuk voor de afwisseling?

    Knap dat je die gasten allemaal te spreken krijgt (petje af!) Even ter herinnering: Birmingham, juli 1986, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Greg Phillingaines en bovengenoemde Nathan East. Ik was 16 en voor mij het concert waar ik voor altijd voor Clapton ben gevallen…

    Het is je nu bijna gelukt om alle grote spelers van die plaat te spreken. Knap hoor, het zijn erg grote namen in de industrie. Wat zou het mooi zijn dat je Clapton zelf ook nog zou kunnen spreken. Andy fairweather low is wel de beste verteller, Clapton zelf is niet de beste spreker maar toch zou het mooi zijn als die ook nog even langskomt.

    Thanks Edwin! Ja, dat zou mooi zijn om hem te pakken te krijgen. Ik ben er uiteraard mee bezig, maar ik weet niet of het gaat lukken… ;)

    @@EdStruijlaart Ach nou ja het zou een leuk cadeautje zijn. Maar als fan van Clapton mag ik ook wel zeggen dat hij iets wat saai is. Zag hem afgelopen zomer en het spettert niet echt zeg maar. Maar de man was 76, net corona achter de kiezen en hij stond er wel en zong fantastisch. Zijn gitaar spel is goed maar begint wel iets stroever te worden. Nathan was natuurlijk ook erg goed, wel erg bescheiden, zijn baspartijen zijn altijd wat het nummer nodig heeft en nooit om te showen wat hij allemaal kan. En ook mooi om te zien hoe de inmiddels toch ook op leeftijd geraakte Katie Kissoon er nog uit ziet en klinkt.
