Close, but unfortunately you must have taken a wrong turn if you're looking for Take Heart Records. Their new act, Phantom Thieves, is pretty great if you're into the whole jazz-punk scene.

I used to think Scar (From Lion King) was the perfect villain because he could sing like a badass and still be menacing, and had a way of being very charismatic. That has all changed now. I would definitely watch a TV show based around this "phantom".

I love the little “WOO!” At the beginning so much 😂

This has the same energy as Friends on the Other Side from the Princess and the Frog.

We really still comparing Nate to other bands? This man is in a league of his own with how many styles he can straight up nail flawlessly. Sure he's covered 'Panic!' songs before, but that doesn't mean that every original song of his has to be compared to them so heavily. This is his own style, no one else's.

Breacosta69 Don’t think anyone is saying he’s ripping off Panic!, just that their influence is clearly there. There’s nothing wrong with that. Many artists end up being influenced in some way by other artists that they like and admire. It’s just how it often goes.

This song hits so many of the same vibes as "Alastor's Game"

Really liking the theme of this album. The allusions and references in this song in particular are the most mature and well-crafted from Nathan yet.

Well the name of the album seems to remind me of Channel Awesome and how they claimed their content creators were "paid in exposure" (the exact words used). Which supposedly did screw over a lot of their producers and had more issues than a newsstand.

Being "paid in exposure" is a highly common form of exploitation throughout all creative media; I doubt the album was intended to reference that incident specifically. It's entirely probable that it refers to his own experiences and the misfortunes of those around him.

I love how in this, Phantom is actually pretty open about his intentions, does his side of the details and doesn't at any point blame the victim for what then happens to them or their soul. And considering how many other darksides in KZreadr egos manipulate their hosts/other egos, that would, ironically, make Phantom the lesser of many evils

I mean, the album name is literally "Paid in Exposure", which is about people just doing work for free because employers/companies tell them that their pay is exposure to the field. So the theme is just there already in the title XD
