【Natalie】Nothing Else Matters (PMJ Arrangement)【SynthV Cover】+SVP

Музыка

This was sitting in my unfinished SVP folder, and since I had a single free day I decided to finish it, because WHY NOT.
Making Natalie sing those belting higher parts was... let's say it was fun, sure. :P
Plugins used - HPsynthV's RealVoice
Natalie design by Iconidol
Arrangement by Postmodern Jukebox - • Nothing Else Matters -...
SVP - mega.nz/file/p4g1WZLR#X1mw2pR...
(please note that I worked on this on SynthV 1.10 beta, so the standard SVPs will not be compatible with older versions. I've included a folder with exports using the "Compatible for 1.9.0" feature, but I haven't tested them, let me know if there are issues!)

This is basically what it sounds like when someone completely masters every parameter and option of SynthV. My jaw is always on the floor with your covers

Very well done on the high parts... that effort in it not just simply 'clamping' shows off and makes it so much more comparable to an actual singer hitting their limits and working through it.

love natalie SO much and she sounds so good here, especially with this style. if you dont mind me asking what kinda settings did you use for realvoice growl? been messing with rv growl with numerous results... some i like, some i dont lol. though i also wouldnt know how much it is supported by voicedrive etc either haha. i tend to use some distortion on mine too as it helps.

These are the settings I used, but they were indeed supported a lot by VoiceDrive - i.imgur.com/7ni8gBa.png I also use Vibrato Envelope to finetune the amount of growl needed :)

@@raidergale thanks! ill give these a try, and mess around with voicedrive before. distortion definitely is the key way to make it sound better lol. my other growl attempts were actually for screamo rather than subtle growls too, so it needed quite a bit of help...

Hi Raidergale👋 I regularly use Solaria, Natalie and now Weina and absolutely love what can be done! Question: I read in one of your comments that you use seperate software to isolate and extract pitch information from an existing solo vocal performance and then map this pitch information on to your Synth V singer’s performance, which is brilliant. I plan on buying RipX to try doing this ( i am a singer and want to superimpose my own voices pitch data on to Syth V originals to make demos) Could you please talk me through the method of importing pitch data into Synth V and would RipX have the ability to extract this information and save it in a format that Synth V would recognize and import? Thanks in advance for your advice, it’s much apreciated!

The RealVoice script uses Praat and, of course, a SynthV script you'll need to run in-editor. I never heard of RipX, but I see it lets you isolate vocal stems in already mixed tracks? If you're a singer yourself I'm not sure it'll help much, since you could just record your singing separately, but if you want to isolate vocals from already released songs then sure, it might work, but keep in mind that the cleaner the resulting acapella is the better the SynthV result will be, with less editing required. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ioipqtaHacuccc4.html This is the method I use (it should already open on the "Easier method part 1" video. It might be worth checking the previous videos in the playlist too, to get a basic idea on how everything works, but still use the workflow listed in the Easier method video. Worth noting that "Easier method part 2" is no longer applicable in SynthV 1.9 onwards :)

Hi Raidergale and thank you for the links and taking the time to explain it. Yes I do record my vocal on its own track(s) and dont need to extract it from a mix but i do need software to isolate and copy my pitch, scoops, vibrato etc. and export those specific parameters to a file format that Synth V will accept and then map/overlay to say..Natalie, to have her sing with my human specific pitch inflections. I will study the videos that you so kindly linked and try and digest the info best I can, then figure out the best software solution for me. Again, many thanks, perhaps I might bug you for a bit more info as i get a closer to the figuring it out. 👍 cheers

Not really, I used HPsynthV's RealGrowl script at times, which mimicks growl with very fast pitch/tension/loudness changes, and also used VoiceDrive while mixing to add some grit here and there :)

This is a fantastic demonstration of technique, but I’m struggling to see the point of it. The original PMJ video is better because it’s real, and this SV cover adds nothing to it - indeed, it’s so close a copy as to be almost indistinguishable. Brilliant, but pointless!

Dear author, shows what can be done with this technology. My respects @raidergale!!! I as the author of his music and lyrics, do not need to yank, look for a singer at 3 am))) Or explain on your fingers how to sing to the singer. And also can be used as a great backing under the lead voice, give fat, and density.
