Nassau Lighthouse - Painting and Travel
The Nassau Lighthouse - Nassau, Bahamas
We travel to the Bahamas where Sarah meets a dedicated street artist and buys a painting. Back in the studio Roger completes a painting of the lighthouse working from a photograph. Particular attention is paid to the light and shadows created from the warmth of the sun and the coolness of the sky on the shadow side of the ighthouse. The dark foliage and trees play an important part by
giving the painting the harsh contrast it needs on such a bright sunny day.

Great lesson. I'm enjoying your new shows on CREATE TV. Thanks to you and Sarah for keeping us art lovers inspired.
Beautiful painting! I love the Maine lighthouse paintings you've done also! ❤
Roger, thank you so much for sharing not only your paintings but also the great artist comments as you paint!!!
What a wonderful picture! Thank you so much for this lesson! 👍🙋♀️
Thanks for sharing this lesson. The painting is beautiful and thanks to Sarah for taking us along on her sightseeing adventures.
Hi, Roger. As I always love your painting process and the amazing results you achieve, it’s hard for me to critique any of your work. The only thing that I noticed here was the blue of the water. I thought it looked too intense. It kept grabbing my attention, even with the fabulous lighthouse you painted. I’m probably wrong as it might be the brightness of my screen. Anyway I enjoy your videos and tv shows. Never miss them. Hope you don’t take this the wrong way. Hi to Sarah.

Hi Tony, You're right about the blue but in the Caribbean the water often is this intense blue much unlike we have here in the US.
