NASCAR Thunder 2003: All Driver-Specific MRN Intros

Ойындар

Well, here's something a little different. Here are all of MRN's driver-specific introductions from NASCAR Thunder 2003. There's not a whole lot to say about these clips. Some of them are programmed to only play for a given driver at a specific track, usually to recall a memorable moment. Beyond that, it's classic Joe Moore and Barney Hall.
I ordered the drivers' clips in the order they were presented in the game's files, so some of them might seem a bit out of place. Not sure why Kurt Busch is after the Labonte brothers and not with the Burtons - maybe EA placed him in Chad Little's spot?
There were a few minor errors in these intros. The first one is that Ricky Craven's big wreck at Talladega was in 1996, not 1998 (and, since I can't think of a better place to mention this, Martinsville ended up being home to a few more memorable moments for Craven - his first Truck Series win in October 2005, and his final start in NASCAR in July 2006); and Shawna Robinson started racing trucks in 1983, not 1980. Still, two very minor errors isn't too bad, especially when you compare it to how many errors Joe and Barney made in their Thunder 2004 intros.
This video took a decent amount of time to put together, but I had quite a bit of fun doing it. I'm thinking of doing more of these in the future - I'll probably go with either Thunder 2004 or Chase for the Cup (can't go wrong with Ace Moneymaker).

You know, now that I've worked some on NASCAR Thunder 2000, I just realized that Ricky Craven's clips went unused in Thunder 2003 as well. That's kinda weird, since Craven actually was in the final game, unlike Joe Nemechek.

I love this. I do have a question: are you going to do NASCAR Thunder 2004 All Driver-Specific MRN Intros as well.

Stuff like this is exactly why I subbed to you Ty! This is the pure definition of raw! Good shit! Only if they had a few for Dale Sr once you unlock him and go play as him but maybe it’s just me as a biased #3 fan. Also I do have an important question: Do you have any other Socials I could possibly/add follow you on? Not counting Twitter though as I deleted that shit for good last year. You’re one helluva guy who’s very smart and talented with all these finds for the EA NASCAR Games and seem like a great person! Keep it up!

I wish but those times were a very sensitive time for many fans as Dale's death was fresh in our minds. You could tell EA took a careful stance on Dale only focusing on certain moments with other drivers and referencing Michael's win and not talking about his death or in some clips alluding to the man but not referencing Earnhardt specifically.

@@evanwilliams6406 I totally get it + glad I’m not the only one who wishes they had voiceover recordings for him. EA definitely did the right thing for sure to avoid making us the fans during this time period more upset than we already were at the time. You just earned yourself a new subscriber my friend!

I hope you have other MRN voice clips from Thunder 2003 and 2004 (including the other commentator duo at Bristol/Charlotte/Sonoma/Atlanta)

Joe Nemechek was supposed to be in the 26 and he later moved into the 25. I am surprised that there were voice clips for Joe but they never had him replace Nadeau in this game because he was fired by HMS. I guess this happened after the game was finished.

That’s what I said as a kid. They could’ve changed it last minute to have him replace Nadeau + have Buckshot’s #44 in the game where Jerry replaces him as BJ44 was also fired by Petty to make room for him. EA was so lazy in this department which is why I used to get really pissed playing these games casually as a kid

@@MarkOliveras0215 Yes that is another one I am confused about. They never put him in the 44.

@@evanwilliams6406 Driver absences is what I hated the most about these games growing up like how does EA be so lazy to not have certain drivers not make the final game/roster?
