    Some people no here from when she was actually a decent racer, back when she did indy instead of nascar. She was actually decent at indy, but nascar makes more money, so she took the opportunity. Still probably made more money crashing every race than she did actually doing well in indy. Also, might explain why she can’t race nascar. Indy has much more responsiveness.

    @Ernest George Setting the bar pretty low for "successful" aren't you? I will give Danica credit where it's due. She was a marketing machine. But if we are talking about as a driver, I think saying she is a successful female driver does a huge disservice to women. By putting her on that pedestal, you imply Danica is the exception rather than the norm, and in this case, you imply even that exception is pretty lackluster

  • @limprooster3253

    @limprooster3253

    3 жыл бұрын

    @Ernest George That escalated quickly... Someone doesn't like their idea's being challenged I take it? The "can you do better?" argument is merely a fallacy. For one, I know I can't. Unfortunately, I wasn't blessed with the money it would require to get into professional racing. So no, I seriously doubt I was born with enough raw talent to out race someone who literally grew up racing. For another, it's entirely possible neither of us have any talent. So what good does that point make? At least I didn't resort to swearing though. But it does beg the question: What racing experience do you have? My point remains the same: Danica was excellent at marketing. She managed to use that gift to maintain a professional stock car racing career for several years. However, comparing that career to her peers does not bode well for Danica. Among drivers who truly were talented, Danica was sub-par at best, and that is even if you acknowledge her semi-successful open wheel career. But to take even that success and label that as "the most successful female driver of all time" as if that is some sort of unheard of achievement... That really says more about you than Danica. Women in racing are capable of so much more than what Danica accomplished. It's okay if you are a fan of Danica. She was definitely a personality. But don't confuse that for success

My point is the whole point system thing is the stupidest thing I've ever seen, they've turned liberal and ruined everything. it's a race who ever is first is first who ever is second is second and whoever is third is third. NASCAR used to be the most popular american made sport now it's one of the least watched. It's so sad to see how they've ruined it. NASCAR has been around 73 years and only 28 racers have been killed in an accident each accident being at least 1 year apart from each other IN THE 50's! WITH BARLEY ANY SAFETY AT ALL! so no, one person wouldn't die for every race held bud. I would suggest doing more research before putting your 2 sence in.

    @Ernest George Literally nobody makes a comment about some guy never making a single achievement in racing let alone the number of achievements that Danika has, but for some reason people feel the need to call her talentless and emotional. I think the most emotional driver on the circuit is Kyle Busch, and I feel like calling him talentless because of how often he intentionally wrecks others out of the race. A driver with talent should be able to win races without wrecking their competition, shouldn't they? Good to see some people not slam Danika, as was done in the video. It's easy click bait with a crowd that might have some sort of gender bias in racing.

    She won the Indy car race on fuel mileage only. Her finish rating was worse in IndyCar. Then add that she was on the best teams in Indy car were her team mates won championships. She was just a women and that was it . If you put 2+2 together and follow her path through racing ..follow the deforce trails …welp there you ave it

    I'd love to. But, kind of a moot proposition due to the fact that no-one at NASCAR would appreciate it. Either way, if beating her five best positions was the bar then I don't think i'd have to work too hard to top it.
