You two are both masters at model building. I really enjoy watching and learning how the pro's do it! However, makes me want to go smash every model I've ever built😝
Why do you make it all look so easy, it’s not fair on us mere mortals. Great job mate, I enjoyed watching along.
Nice job.... some real craftsmanship ...
Your race cars are always incredible. Wish I could get a hang of it all. Such a difficult hobby sometimes
Clay, I just order more scale auto back issues I didn't have with some of your articles. You are such an inspiration. I really appreciate all your hard work. It makes want to strive to do better with my builds.
Unbelievable. You sir are a master at your craft.
That's effing excellent!! Well done!
Beautiful Clay, Just beautiful.
Another GREAT build and video Clay!!! 👍

I agree Ron. How do you know when or how to stop applying the decal solutions? I notice how he messages them with a paint brush, however at what point do you stop before demolishing the decal?
Spectacular Clay!
Beautiful job.
My mind is blown. Wow.
You kept me captivated.. super cool.
Makes me want to pull every NASCAR I ever did off the shelf and start all over again - Amazing work.
Amazing "Everything" Clay, Thanks So Much For Sharing n God Bless.
A fantastic and inspiring build Clay. The detail is just awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Superb result.
Great work Clay. Outstanding series. Very enjoyable and educational. You've really taken me to school. Thanks so much for sharing your incredible work. Carry on Sir!
This is amazing just amazing Joey logano is my favorite driver so it’s pretty cool seeing this
Nice job bro ! Maybe I’ll get mine done now lol
Looks amazing. Thanks for all the detailed information.
Steady hands!! And such clean builds! I'm both inspired and intimidated! I'm old , shaking and can't see ! Your technique is crazy but so effective in finished product! Kudos my guy! Someone has to be the best !
Excellent. Thank you so much for sharing this. You are a true craftsman.
Looking SOLID Clay. Thanks for the walk through on this build :D
Fantastic job Clay... beautiful work, enjoyed watching! Look forward to seeing more.😁👍
That turned out amazing. Great job 👏
Amazing work! ❤
I was waiting for this final one... thank you for you lessons!! Please, dont take too long to the next project!
Clay, thats one sharp looking build buddy!
Awesome build
Nicely done
Amazing build. Museum quality. Always loved you work from the pages of Scale Auto.
Beautiful build!
Well now you make me want to build a NASCAR. I haven't built one in many years. I have an old Richard Petty car I might build as my next project. Thank you for the build videos! I think that I will buy the Master air brush. I have never used a dual action. Always have used my Pasche single action. I think I would benefit from the spray pattern of that kind of airbrush. Great looking model and once again, thank you for your time. Always looked for your videos first thing in the morning.

I think you will like using a dual action airbrush Mike. It gives you so many more options on how to paint things. They really are a nice tool to have.
Awesome model great video 👍 nice work
That's awesome
Very cool build! I really enjoyed the how to’s along the way and the explanation behind what you are doing to achieve success
Clay, I'm glad to see you on YT. I have a couple of the books the Scale Auto Magazine sold of your old articles and learned a lot but it is so much better seeing you on video. The video quality is great. I found DT's channel a while ago and his is great as well. You two are my favorite modelers. But I like that you don't talk on yours because everything moves faster.. it's perfect the way you edited the videos. Looking forward to more! I've learned so much from all the videos. I stayed up half the night last night watching them after I found your channel.

Pretty much box stock with a few added goodies and clean assembly. Well done Sir Kemp. Perhaps you'll do one of your famous super detail builds at some point? I know that will take many segments. At some point I'm going to start doing detailed builds here of drag cars, but the camera situation will need to be improved. And I'm moving soon. But I will have my own hobby room so that is exciting. Always fun to watch brother.

I still do occasionally. Zapagap works so well though a lot of times it isn't needed.
Ha, I just happened across your channel, and just noticed the Washington township Avon pencil, I live out past Danville. Awesome job on your models! 👍🏻

Been super helpful as I finally work through my 2018 Southern 500 winner build. One question: Is there a specific size for the PE nuts you use around the guitar string on antenna or just any 1/24 1/25 will do?
Really glad to find your channel, is there a chance you can do a video on that Billy Meyer firebird?
Not a Logano fan but this build is Awesome!
Can u put a link where u got all the parts, stickers,, car body and utensils from pls. And paint. Thx also amazing video!!!!!!!
Looks great Clay! I will use your method of making the front splitter in the future. I also appreciate how to tuck the tires in, I've struggled with that on my builds. Would you mind telling us how you filmed this? Where is the camera, it's such a good angle but it looks like it would be right where your head is haha.

LOL it is....it is totally right in the way! I have had to learn to work around it. Sometimes I move it around for different perspectives. But usually it is right in front of me.
Awesome Clay!!! Also, who are the two jerks that gave this a thumbs down?
@ClayKemp

I'm guessing not Logano fans. :)
Can you tell me the size of the braided lines and pluming that you use on the motors and through out on your builds? I have been building models off and on for years but not to the caliber you are and I would like to try my hand at building one extreme, and I have a hard time on sizes of the lines, etc brake lines, oil lines etc. Can you put up some videos of you building a motor or brake lines, what I really would like to see is a NASCAR model build from start to finish. Oh can you tell me where you get a lot of your photo etched parts.
Where did you get the photo etch camera, plus the decals for the fire extinguisher and the fuel lines?
@ClayKemp
2 жыл бұрын
The photo etch came from a Gundam etch sheet off of ebay. The interior decals were on the sheet I used. But you can also find them on goodies sheets at www.mikesdecals.com
Beautiful build ,Clay I always enjoy your work. Question, why do you not clear coat after you put on the sponsor and number decals so it looks more like a wrap? Also, do you clearcoat your decals while they are on the sheet before you cut them out and apply them? Thanks.
@ClayKemp
Жыл бұрын
I typically don't like to clear over decals. Especially high quality ones like these. But I wanted the red graphics to look like they were the same sheen as the yellow. So I just cleared over that part, and decaled the rest over the clear.
Clay, what did you use to put the glass in with? My glue works to quick
@ClayKemp
Жыл бұрын
I like to use Testors window maker glue for windows. It is water based, and dries clear.
Did you clear over ALL the decals when finished....?
Great stuff as always Clay. Really enjoy the vids. WIth gluing the wheels on using your method here, do you have a second to adjust them? It's been a number of years since i used zap and kicker, so i can't remember how quick it sets. Thanks for making these videos and showing us all some techniques

This project was more/less trying to be box stock, with just a few additional details.
The best video on the subject I've seen thus far. Great work!!! My only concern on your videos is your personal safety spraying without gloves... especially the clear coat which looks like a 2K type. Your absorbing all that stuff through your skin...yikes!
