Ya but the game is still broken. My G29 pedals will work and then start a race and get floored in the rear cus they didn't register and I start slowing down. Plus a million other problems that make the game unplayable on wheel

I wish they made the damage a bit more realistic, at least take fenders off and remove panels that are damaged like in a real race.

Nascar Thunder 2004 was one of the best Nascar games.

Nascar Thunder 2003 and Nascar Dirt to Daytona were also my big time favorites. The physics were a bit wonky in Nascar 2008 for the Xbox but I loved how the cars could actually flip and blowover how they did in Nascar 2008

Thanks for the comparison, really useful. Graphically Ignition wins although I quite like the more raw look to Heat. But based on all the gameplay and things like AI behaviour, setups, information on screen, etc. Heat wins by a country mile.

The EA games had better damage graphics.. they spent far too much time making the garage area and grandstands look good.. yeah it's nice but I don't pay attention to the outside/inside of the track while I'm racing

@@SlickBillByron never heard of complex damage I have it on full damage and it sucks when you compare it to Nascar thunder 2003 and 2004s damage physics. I mean I scrape the wall in Ignition and not even a scratch. I miss the days when Nascar games had parts literally flying off the cars hoods fenders,engine damage and engines blowing up and cars on fire. The engine sounds and other sounds in Ignition are realistic but the wrecks and damage are just generic and in my opinion it’s important most gamers believe that the crash graphics are unimportant but I believe they are very important if you want a very realistic game.

Nascar Heat 5 - looks kinda cool. But also looks kinda bland and generic. Nascar 21 Ignition - the cars look absolutely amazing and the game looks way better looking than NH5. But they gotta fix some of the physics and bugs!

I think the main reason ignition LOOKS better than heat 5 is they got the lighting…on some tracks like Daytona and Las Vegas….spot on. Lighting can be a game changer. Recently gone back to heat 5 as I love being able to ADJUST settings and actually have a more in depth car set up. Plus heat 5 isn’t broken! 🤣

Its crazy how much 21 has decreased from Heat 5. The last patch did fix Career mode so I am little happy with that but still can't fix cautions. Makes no sense, they definitely took a step back but Motorsports games don't care they're good got the license till 2029 I believe. Plus they made millions off a unfinished game. Kinda like EA does every year 😆.

No track map. No stages. No fuel guage or tire model display. How the heck do you release a NASCAR game without a freaking fuel guage. No mirror. Bugs, not recognizing wheels, including mine. It's a crime, and I hope Microsoft takes it down and refunds our money like both platforms did with cyberpunk!!!!!

I played it a total of two times and said enough. I requested a refund from Microsoft and used content not complete as the reason and Microsoft approved it in 3 minutes. I think they know and are embarrassed to have a game this awful on their system.

Ngl between those two it be cool to see the next gen in nascar 21- only if your here after the patches

Haven't plays Ignition but NH5 has good force feedback. Graphics are acceptable and runs 1440p144 no dips.

Nascar 21 is superior in terms of sound department, sounds real.

Great comparison but the fact is there is no comparison. Heat 5 has it beat in every aspect of the game. If I were to buy either one it would definitely be Nascar Heat 5. I have Heat 4 and it's a 100% improvement over Nascar 21.

Heat 5 is definitely better gameplay wise for racing so if ignition worked on controls through patches it'll definitely work better

Ignition looks better, has better damage physics, has great dirt air physics and blown tires, has great UI for race weekend. But it doesn’t have competent ai or custom setups so heat is simply more playable

2021 is a really good looking game it’s a shame that it’s barebone

I liked ignition but looked "jumpy" through the corner like "glitchy" was that their attempt at simulating the bumps through the turn?? Or is it camera shake you can turn off in the settings?? I liked ignition better for everything else just camera looked Shakey through the corners

I think both games look fantastic side by side. But I will have to go with heat 5 . Only because if you look at the daytona strips . Nascar ignition daytona yellow line looks off . That is the comparison

I'm sorry but you can't compare the 2 games on a superspeedway. You have to actually pick a track that requires the brakes.

Both games are amazing as they've brought out the colours and speed of NASCAR. The points I've noticed: Heat 5: We had lower roots like the Late model dirt track car, then the Gander RV & outdoor NASCAR Trucks, then the Xfinity NASCAR Cars and finally the Cup series cars. It is pretty much playable and looks amazing. Customization is present and we had many game modes. Camera modes were also amazing. 21 Ignition: Game looks Graphically amazing than Heat 5, be it from the chase cam or the cockpit cam (Hood or Steering) but the cameras are a bit buggy and the sounds are also good. The "roots" disciplines of NASCAR are absent. Game isn't optimized for med-spec PCs but High end extreme ones. My verdict: Both games are actually amazing, they've got it's heads and tails but if 21 Ignition can fix these bugs, add in the roots disciplines and possibly some classics, this would be a masterpiece!😎🔥

indoor noise in ignition sounds like an airplane engine mixed with nascar noise.

The driving physics of ignition is good and the tracks for the most part but they need to fix a bunch with the AI.

At least Nascar Heat 5 has a rear view mirror for all camera views .

NAscar should really put more effort into their games. Might as well just lisense out the brand to the Forza team. We'd get way better games.

Was using heat4, Nc 21 looks better but too many bugs still. Steam had Heat 5 for $6 and a $17for all the DLC’S SO I bought IT LAST WEEK, will get 21 next year or wait for the next gen cars to show up on NC 21.

That's the bug for me, every time I set everything to ultra and save it, some graphics options back to low. Hope they fix it on day 1 patch, I haven't tried played it since early access so lets find out

Heat clearly wins graphics by a large margin. It also wins on playability. I think thebonly yhing ignition has for it is the sound is better.

Heat looks much better and plays smoother, at least in this video. Ignition looks choppy with frame drops and looks less detailed.

Oh my god nascar heat 5 3rd person view is more natural, also the car look.

Heat has fine tuning components. 21 doesnt. Heat has building your owned team. 21 doesnt,. Heat has dirt track and trucks 21 doesnt. Heat WORKS 21 doesnt, The cars look way better in 21. But the fencing quality, ground textures and chase cam are way better in heat 5 Honestly the chase cam shake in 21 makes the whole game seem like its stuttering. I thought there was something wrong with my pc Dissapponting that they released a sparse in content and buggy game for full freight price

21 ignition had the makings and or possibilities of becoming an epic game and a future classic but with that said they took a swing and missed big-time they can still fix it but it won't be what it could have been I would like to see actual classic races with classic cars I want to race a 1987 thunderbird at Talladega and then north wilkesboro and Darlington and Rockingham that would be epic with as many classic drivers they can throw at it and then I'd be happy with no Xfinity and trucks etc do classic series instead then 21 would be a classic game for decades to come but untill then I'll play heat5 and have better gameplay for now the graphics are better in 21 but that's all that's better .....great side by side comparison video good work well done on your comparison

In my opinion so far NASCAR Heat 5 is better, Because even with all these graphics and damages there are a TON of glitches, bugs and other stuff in NASCAR21 Ignition, they had 2 years to fix all of that, now instead of them we are supposed to sort of *Test* the game, also there are not private multiplayer lobbies, that means no league racing, they added paint booth but you can use it only in singleplayer and not multiplayer, caustions dont work properly and sometimes there is some kind of *lag* in singleplayer when AI just runs into you sending you in the air, guys dont become ghosts whenver they go backwards or stop in the middle of the track, so because of that theres also a ton of trolling, and these arent even all the problems.. Yes, there are good things about Nascar21 Ignition aswell, physics are good, tracks are accurate, graphics are amazing, you can even go in the infield but the game still needs some work, maybe more people are gonna play it when all the patches for the game come out but right now at this stage, game isnt enjoyable to play. So far this game is only 5/10 for me.

Nascar Heat 5 in my opinion looks way better, in all the shown footage. However I do like that Ignition has the soft body damage thing going on, I've been wanting that in a nascar game for a long time.

I personally think that nascar 21 could really use some improvement like the the crashes it could be more then half the field and there still isn't a caution it takes way to much to get a caution and don't even get me started with the backwards driving I've delt with this so long I stop racing for a minute and I don't even have nascar 21 just from what I seen I can nascar 21 needs some improvement the online racing not that bad but the backwards driving I mean imagine battling for the lead and some idiot hits you head on I think we all know who won the argument nascar heat 5 is it for me

If I were to play a nascar game since I got heat 4 an 5 I would buy 21 because the graphics are better and the crashes are more realistic then heat 5 ever was because notice how 5 didnt have a single ripped front bumper looking like it does on tv No but 21 they actually made it better with rips in the bumper where it could rip off in a area like on tv. They did big improvements with 21 with graphics an crashes I love it even though I dont ever play sport games. 21 for the win any day over heat 5

Sorry I ever bought Nascar Ignition 21. Love Heat 5 even more. I actually drive with a thrustmaster force feedback, there is no resistance... The wheel is just horrible in the new game. It is without a doubt this game should have been delayed and released as NASCAR 2022

Ignition’s Graphics may be sharper, but NH5’s visuals are much more vibrant and immersive from it’s it track markings and infield details. Like NH5’s fps performance better as well

Heat 4 n heat 5 are great but not enough crash goings on the cars seem to float when they crash should be like days of thunder more big smoke and debris its to robotic everything is way to clean 👊

It still baffles me that NASCAR racing 2003, well the whole series of NASCAR racing, did a better job at ai, physics and realism than any game made since ( excluding Iracing, which runs on a modified NASCAR racing 2003 engine)

@@MOMAZOSPATO It had some many features and worked really well, it had the all star race and the speed weeks as well, there was no need for DLC, there was a full paint booth, full career mode, full season mode, good online, great gameplay, my only complaint about NASCAR 15 is it hasn’t been ported to Xbox One, and the damage model isn’t that great, your car could even DNF like in real life! You had burnouts as well!

I agree with some of the others - Ignition does have more graphics details to the game but that is about it. Everything else I favor Nascar Heat 5. I like their in car view far as what they show us. I like their car sound better. One thing you didn't comparison is how they do any kind of pitting during races??? Now - I have two of the earlier Nascar Heat games, but I don't think I have Heat 5. And from what I see, watching other Ignition video reviews or racing, the overall game play looks terrible even with patches. But I am taking the opinions of the reviewers. I will keep racing my Nascar tracks and car set in RFactor 2 and using VR. I have most the Oval and road tracks. I am waiting to see how IRacing does in developing the new Nascar game for the PC in 2025. Note - I also have installed Nascar Racing 2003 by Papyrus which was a good game and raced online in leagues with it back in the 1990's Graphics are not that good but racing is very good considering how old the game is.
