NASCAR Hall of Fame's NEW Glory Road! Historic Race Cars Over 75 Years! (A Story For EVERY Car)

The NASCAR Hall of Fame switches out its "Glory Road" exhibit only once every three years. The all new set of historic cars has just been released! We went to meet up with Tom Jensen, who is the manager of curatorial affairs at the HOF. Tom was part of the team configuring and selecting the cars to be on display. He takes us up the road sharing a story or two about every car in there. We also go into the main hall where 2023 inductees Matt Kenseth, Kirk Shelmerdine (Dale Earnhardt's crew chief), and Herschel McGriff's items are on display!

Love how the tour guide is talking as if he isn't speaking to a seasoned Nascar fan bc I'm certain a lot of people that come through these tours might not even have known about Richard Childress being a driver and how his career played out. Which is in itself a pretty inspiring story that shows that just because you aren't the best at something doesn't mean you can't pave out a great career if you're willing to put in the work. Another great video Mitchell!

The actual car that Gordon drove at Watkins Glen to get Chevrolet to 500 wins is in the Hendrick Museum.

Logan is my hero!!!!! We both love the old Wrangler cars. Mitchell. The 1987 Wrangler Aerocoupe MC , the last 3 races had a GM Goodwrench colored chassis prepping for 88 😊

Thanks for the tour. I asked Ryan Newman why Darlington chewed up tires so fast, he said that the asphalt had sea shells in the mix, which was unique. Every track was unique to tire wear. I am fascinated on the older cars, late 80's and older, by how they were built and raced. Always wanted to do a nascar themed build of a mid 70's Monte Carlo or Laguna, like Childress' car.

Tom Jensen sure knows a wealth of information. Great job of capturing this tour and adding some questions that made the tour better! Many of us will never step foot inside the HOF, but your videos allow us to do so through your video shoots! Keep up the great work of videoing and editing the content.

Dale's Wrangler no. 3 was my favorite paint scheme as well.

Robert Huffman son races as well, and has been using his dad's old race shop, fixing it up, while winning his first Nascar weekly series championship out of that shop at Hickory Motor Speedway. Landon Huffman has his own KZread channels with one of them dedicated to behind the scenes racing endeavors, and the other dedicated to the podcast he recently began doing. Landon and his crew are a hoot, and I enjoy interacting with them, and yes I would definitely follow what Landon is doing including if he manages to get to Nascar's top three series, even know that pains me to say.

Happy that Jeff Gordon's World Famous "Blacker" car is in the NASCAR Hall of Fame.. but I wish the ultra famous Jeff Gordon "T-Rex" car was in the hall of fame.. that's a car you should do a vlog about

I visited the HOF 2 years ago now! It was really cool to see how the sport has changed, and it's cool to see that they're changing it occasionally! My favorite part was the driving sim.

Wish I knew more about the Wendell Scott, Bubba Wallace connection. I'm a hardcore Earnhardt fan. But also a hardcore Nascar fan and that's awesome.

I'm really enjoying all of these Nascar history videos. Y'all do great work. Thank both of you for the hard work you do for these videos. I've been a Nascar fan since the 60's.

Love to see the Modifieds up on that Glory Road. Although for the 75 year anniversary, it should be an Evans car on their! Great video

The Josh Berry story is one I follow, was always an Earnhardt fan and with both done, Josh is where my following has picked up. On another note, the Richard Petty Racing experience needs to have an older car in it that you can drive, how amazing would that be! Thanks for the video's, love you guys do these!
