NASCAR Classic Race replay: Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s first Cup Series win | Texas Motor Speedway

Спорт

Dale Earnhardt Jr. outran runner-up Jeff Burton down the stretch and secured his first win in just his 12th Cup Series start. The feat touched off a special celebration in Victory Lane with his father, who owned his son's No. 8 Chevrolet and came home seventh in his own iconic No. 3.

I understand the great talent that nascar grew after Dale Sr past on, but man miss Dale Jr racing. I try not to think about this, but I still wonder how much growth, and even more talent that could Dale Sr could have taught him, if he hadn’t past away!! I mean Dale Jr basically won pretty much every big race, but I think Sr, could have given him tips, to when a championship. Even with out the championship, He’s still one of the best to do it, with all that went on in his life, after losing his father at Daytona.. I will always miss not seeing Jr racing in the 8 car, or the 88, and I will forever miss Sr!!

Its not just Sr. being able to teach Jr. better ways to race certain tracks as Jr. had always said that his dad would never really sit with him & talk to him about specific ways to race. Anytime I ever listen to Jr. speak about his dad he always ends admitting he never really got a lot of advice from his dad about racing. Maybe that would've changed if he never passed away. But what would've been different is that DEI would've stayed competitive with Sr. continuing to run DEI instead of Teressa.

Man 2000 and 2001 feels like it’s 10 years apart from each other. When CBS handed it over to Fox, it’s as if it ushered in a new era (it obviously did but it hits different)

Not just that: of the networks that carried Winston Cup in 2000, only NBC (which broadcast Homestead that year and in 1999) carried over to 2001. TBS was going to as well, but their races were given to TNT before their half of the season started to fit with the latter's "We Know Drama" campaign. Even then, almost none of the 2000 broadcast team was carried over.

Nascar should upload all races to youtube. As much as they need new fans or old fans who don't much care for new school nascar to keep paying attention. They should upload season of Nascar. Start with like 1990 & start uploading races. You can basically find every race on here whether its the cup series or busch series but its usually uploaded by some fan & the copy isn't that good. Like this race for example has been on youtube for all to see but the copy of this race isn't as good & clear as this version that nascar uploaded. Not many people are going to go buy old races but if Nascar kept uploading all the old races for all to see they would get a 100k+ views like this race has got. If I was Nascar Id attract viewers any way I can.
