Them two & Earnhardt Jr are the 3 greatest to never win a championship. With Hamlin possibly joining them unless he gets one. Martin is the best of that group followed by Hamlin, IMO. 2020 was most definitely Hamlin’s best chance. Martin finished 3rd here, but I’m pretty sure he had a couple 2nd’s in the 500.

@@zachhatten261 .... I don’t disagree. I’m surprised Fireball doesn’t have one! I forgot about Rudd & Edwards too. Carl probably wudda got one or two had he not walked away. I didn’t think too much when I typed this. Otherwise, I wudda probably named them guys. Another guy who probably wudda got a championship had his career not been cut short due to AIDS is Tim Richmond. He was a really good driver & had a damn good season in 1987 in particular.

Thank you NASCAR for uploading constant old races cause it's amazing. I still think a streaming service like the WWE Network would be a huge profit and could bring back alot of old fans to watch the time period they liked.

Heard this race was probably one of the worst 500s and it seems like that sentiment is pretty true. The gen 6 still had some big issues and it showed in this race

This and 2000 are the poster boys for bad Daytona 500's. Most of the reasons why it was bad was because people wanted to play choo choo instead of RACE.

Not accurate, they were all going 100 percent but they couldn't do anything due to the actual package.

NASCAR will never be the same. I’m 24 and while not young it’s amazing how much has changed. Only watched since 12. Jimmie was 1st/2nd best NASCAR driver all time. Him or Petty!!

Same age as you, man oh man, the new guys today, I remembered in my time the rookies were Harvick, Newman, Earnhardt Jr., Johnson, Hamlin, Kurt and Kyle Busch, Edwards, Hamlin, Mcmurray, Truex Jr. I’m 24 too, it’s strange seeing the rookies I once knew are now veterans or retired. I really miss bumpy Daytona it provided great racing, but I think the Gen-7 cars made NASCAR great once more. Gosh makes me feel old

Haven't miss a race on tv or at Texas race track since 1996 when I really started get into nascar ..yes race was kinda boring yet it's NASCAR smell of engine roar as they go by you or feel of vibration watching on TV ..nothing better than NASCAR besides NFL's games ..have Jimmie Johnson won car Daytona bring back memories ..glad you tube is here

I remember this Daytona 500 was advertised everywhere like at supermarkets, food packaging and on tv

WHY THIS RACE? WHY? This is one of the worst Daytona 500 races ever! Is it because this was the first Gen 6 race? Or was it because it was Danica's first race? WHY? It was SO BORING! Sure, 2000 was worse, but at least that race is 20 years old, this race is 7 years old. Major difference.

2013 the omg Danica 500 but 5 (7) time out front when it counted.

that late debris caution really ruined the finish, they were gonna be 2 and 3 wide the last few laps but ended up being single file

well danaka has shown much more in this race then 2012 very nice to see her doing well hope others will get a shot if she continues racing like this

I know lot of people thought the race was boring, but I'm one of those fans who still enjoyed it. I give it a 6.5 out of 10. Also, I was happy my favorite driver won

Nascar on fox stopped taking it seriously in 2018 when all the "young guns" came in and it became clear when fox proclaimed they were "taking over nascar".

Really sucks that this was some people's first experience watching a nascar race, hopefully they tuned into autoclub that week

It's a shame they didn't mention Danica that much. She was up front the whole race and they barely mentioned her.

Ugh these damn in car camera views suck. I hate them. The network producer decides to show it ever other angle. Its so frustrating. I get it, in car is important once in a while, however enough man. The regular camera angle is so much better to see a pass or an attempt at a pass. It drives me crazy

This Gen6 car was awful.

Quit spoiling the race winer in the title Nascar! Cant you just rebroadcast without giving the winner away? No fun watching when you know the outcome. Its likr revealing Who Done It in a books title. Not worth reading
