NASA's Dream Chaser Space Plane Is Finally Launching!
Nasa's Dream Chaser Space Plane is about to launch.
Regardless of concerns about its launch date in 2024, the recent snowballing testing progress of the vehicle has shown it all.
Of course, it's not the only amazing news waiting for us.
Stay tuned and find out everything in today's episode of Techmap
NASA's Dream Chaser Space Plane Is Finally Launching!
Dream Chaser, aptly named for its tenacity, is the first of a planned fleet of spaceplanes.
So, when will we witness the maiden launch of the world's first commercial space plane, Dream Chaser’s Tenacity?
Nasa's internal schedule for missions to the ISS indicates this date could fall in September. However, in early April, news appeared about the risk of a slide to 2025 due to the vehicle's lack of readiness. Clearly, this by then annoyed ULA's board of directors.
NASA's Dream Chaser Space Plane Is Finally Launching!
Their rocket, the Vulcan Centaur, would launch the Dream Chaser spacecraft for Sierra Space on the rocket's second mission. In addition to the impressive debut in January, ULA really wants to launch Vulcan for the second time as the fundamental condition to earn certification for national security payloads. Of course, Sierra's slowness directly affects ULA's goal of exiting the certification phase and beginning contract flight missions for the US Space Force as soon as possible.

NASA should just ask SPACE X to launch it. No more delays.

Sierra Space seems to have there act together. They have been pretty methodical at building and preparing Dream Chaser. So "YES" I think they will be more than ready. I hope if they still plan on launching it on a ULA rocket that the rocket itself is ready. I have zero confidence in ULA. Great Detail explanation today. Great Episode. Keep doing what you are doing. Have a Great Day.

Sierra Space needs to stop telling us how, "it's going to revolutionize the way we transport people & cargo to space?" No it's not! How about getting it into space & back to earth in one piece, then tell us about what it can do? Space Ghost is an interesting concept!

The deamchaser is a very flexible re-entry system! It can land on any runway and subject its cargo and potencial human passengers to far less gee-load! The problem is the Vulcan rocket! It is not yet ready.

Should Sierra Nevada be setting up Dream Chaser to be launching on Starship, Blue Origin and other rockets? With all this testing, can you use Dream chaser as the main capsule for the Artemis Lunar Mission. It can back up the HL Starship Lunar Lander? Can Dream Chaser land on the Moon and be relaunched?

Defund Boeing COMPLETLY, fine them for all funds spent by NASA and split the refunded money in half with Sierra and SpaceX. Sierra is slow because the funding to them is given with an eye dropper.
