    As a geologist I will make several comments;- 1) I am surprised to see so much broken rock, and sand. There must be strong weathering of the original solid rock, or crater ejecta is very common and deep. 2) The layering suggests water lain sediments (to me) but it doesn't have to be. 3) tilted layers could be caused by the cratering (not tectonics) 4) the last pictures showed an area of small (concretionary) spheres and what looked like crystal growth on the edges of the irregular shaped rocks. These to me are indications of water in the area at some time in the past. Great images, great resolution.

In the pictures of the Belva crater we find a row of rocks that clearly shows that this crater was filled with water a long time ago. I have been exploring the surface of Mars with Google Earth PRO for years and have found clear traces of ancient nature and probably even life. The normal hue of the sky during the daytime can vary from a pinkish-red to a yellow-brown “butterscotch” color; however, in the vicinity of the setting or rising sun it is blue. This is the exact opposite of the situation on Earth.

    The rocks at 4:39 appear to be Ah-ah lava, which is strange because it has held this rugged shape for billions of years, while the rest of the field looks to have been flooded with water. On Earth, Ah-ah lave decomposes fast, within a few months, but there is little to erode that fragile shape, except gravity and water long ago on Mars. Could be it represents an incursion long after the water had already been lost.

  • @DanDownunda8888

    Are those rugged shapes billions of years old, or are they much more recent? In 1609 Galileo Galilei made the first telescope observation of Mars. He could not detect any surface detail, but he noticed that it was not perfectly round. What happened in the billions of years since Mars existed up until then?

  • @fredwood1490

    @fredwood1490

    3 ай бұрын

    Exactly! They must be younger than the surrounding rock or, all the rest of the Ah-ah is buried under the thick dust. These outcroppings may have been buried too and thus protected, but I doubt for billions of years.@@BanterMaestro2-vh5vn
