Nas: The Vision Behind ‘King’s Disease,’ The Firm and Mending Relationships | Apple Music

Музыка

Nas connects with Zane to discuss his album ‘King’s Disease’ and the inspiration behind the project. Nas reflects on the premise of tracks like “Replace Me,” featuring Don Toliver and Big Sean, “The Definition” with Brucie B, and "The Cure." He also speaks on what led to the disbandment of the former rap supergroup The Firm and the loss of his mother. Listen to Nas on Apple Music: apple.co/-KingsDisease

5 reasons why Kings Disease deserves a Grammy. 1. Lyrically Fresh 2. Well Produced 3. Caters for old and new generation 4. Subject matter is relevant to the current state of the world and black race 5. Featured artists delivered very well.... 6. Cure for Coronavirus

Nas has never ever sounded articulate in interviews even when asked the simplest questions. I used to think it was because he was high or some but it's just the way he is. @@Synchronite ... okay, maybe so but he's allowed to grow right? Alot of rappers start out sounding "hood" or unpolished or uncomfortable talkin to media but they grow, they find out the world is bigger than the projects or the neighborhood or the city they come from, they tour, they meet people of all different races and cultures and they grow, so that's what we have in Nas, a man who has been all over the world, learned, grown, become a mature man.

I prefer the storytelling, voice, lyrics, flow variations and city sound. I love the dark, downtownish sound over the LA funky sound, the southern 808 heavy sound, drill or any other sound. You hear that husky voice you know who it is. I really like the interview Zane is doing. The questions really let us see more of Nas as the interviewee. I think for someone like Nas who's been doing this so long the questions gotta be more than the obvious. I love Nas backdrop too that room looks so cool. 😍

The kind of album that can be on repeat from the 1st track to the 12th. No disrespect to the bonus track featuring ASAP but that's the only track I couldn't listen on repeat. The amount of work put on this album shows that you don't need a lot of records to provide us with a classic. This has to be one of Nas' best album. Thanks again Nasir for sharing wisdom and incite

Such a great interview! There were questions asked that I didn't know how Nas would respond. He's generally a calm, poised person. But being that he's introverted and has a street background, one would want to be cautious how they ask this man about his personal life (like heartbreaks and past relationships especially) and make sure they show respect and not give off a bad impression.
