I’m convinced that Nas is THE rapper of all time. And i’m not meme-ing around. It’s not that he’s my favorite, or the most creative ever, but I see him being so deeply at the center of what is hip hop, and so consistent. As someone who grew up on Eminem and 50 Cent, Nas has really won me over in his later years and the way he has lasted speaks volumes about him.

With 'Illmatic,' one of the best, if not the best albums of all time, and his latest run of 5 great albums in 2.5 years (one every 6 months), there is no doubt. Tell me of a rapper from that era which is still on the top of his pen game. He influenced so many people with illmatic and is now paveing the way for rappers to put out work when they grow older. you are really under valuing Magic 1. In my opinion it's arguably better than all the kings disease albums and I love all of them. Idk I just wouldn't call it something to hold us over. It's a different vibe but still incredible

It a 7 mane. It does exactly what it needs to do. Sure it's somewhat supplemental, but who else is putting out LP length high quality supplements like this. The songs on here I think totally stack up to the main KD series. Maybe not from a lyrical perspective but the beats and performances make up for that

Magic 2 was more of a Kings Disease 4 preview. It wasn't a classic but very solid . It was very different from Magic, which was a masterpiece in my opinion and the best of this late career surge. He really captured that old school 75 to 95 BPM pace with flawless flowing and personally I think albums that have 10 to 14 tracks are the best song range. At his MSG concert I attended I noticed more of the crowd getting into that part of the concert more than the Kings Disease tracks. None the less this run hes on at his age is ridiculous and reiterates why he's the best to do it.
