Indeed. And the characters still do DBZ fights. It was still Shonobis. And the world building was so well made, the entire Itachi storyline and the way he build it, the first time we hear about Itachi was Orochimaru saying he is stronger then him, and until that point he was the strongest villain and hearing saying that tells you something. Then we have this arc and even if Itachi wasnt a "good guy" like the plot twist did, the entire story was so well made that actually fits its character. It looks like a cold calculating arrogant and powerful man that lost his way, wanting to test his limits, it was very well made how and why he left Sasuke alive and you still have that plot twist about him, which also makes sense. This was peak Naruto storytelling. After all those clues and little flashbacks about Itachi, you end up this arc, truly feeling he was on other level and how terrifying he and the Sharingan can be.

@@gordusmaximus4990 Yes the storytelling in this arc is fantastic, and the entire way Itachi was presented. Tbh this is still my favourite Itachi content with the only exception being his final battle against Sasuke in Shippuden. I liked the way they portrayed him so much here that I felt a bit disapointed to later learn that he was a secret good guy

@@0ksh I also prefered Naruto when it had an aura of mystery and a horror vibe to it, plus the characters truly had to use tactics and smart plays instead of relying on uber powerful jutsus and Modes

"im scared..." "I dont wanna die!!!!" this actually got me feeling a lil scared and hopless, poor sasuke cant even process whats happening in front of him

One of the most memorable scenes from the original Naruto. Probably in a top 5. It really show how hard that event was for Sasuke and how affected his life, to the point he became a puppet of his own destiny. This music fits perfectly for that situation, and you make a perfect work recreating it (and by ear, wich is even more amazing!). Thank you.

Yeah, the culmination of the final flashbacks of Sasuke’s past that fill in the missing pieces during the final fight with Naruto is gut wrenching.

The nostalgia is insane. I remember being so invested in this revenge plot seeing it as a kid on Toonami was a whole different experience.

This plays around episode 84 of the OG Naruto anime, after Sasuke found out that Itachi murdered his parents and the clan.

Back in the days when we thought Itachi was a LEGIT villain. Seeing him do the things he did still has me in shock to this day. I'll never forget when he and Kisame arrived at the leaf village and Itachi raped everyone. Part of me wishes Itachi was a true villain instead of an antagonist.

There were so much build up to him actually being good though, as Kishi did planned him to be a good guy from the start. I love that so many of his actions have two completely different meaning before and after the reveal and they both make sense.

I don't think he would be better as a villain but it's obvious that he was planned to be one, he literally used Tsukuyomi on a bunch of Konoha Ninja.

***** Ya that's true because Itachi was so powerful, another reason that giving him a disease to basically kill him out of the plot is just a stupid and lame direction to take in itself, but after the amount of strength that Sasuke displayed by defeating Orochimaru so easily, it would be fair to say that he has caught up to Itachi or even surpassed him, creating the chance for the sweetest revenge battle imaginable and also making Itachis declaration to Sasuke to seek out his revenge when he is powerful enough more important rather than making Itachi a false hero, which he definitely is not no matter how you slice it.

Chibi Terasu Yea but they could have gone many different routes while still achieving that such as Itachi killing his best friend to achieve power which corrupted his judgment to point where he was just evil and power hungry, and the second part being the secret Uchiha scroll that instructed him to kill Shisue Uchiha his best friend, has hidden instructions where he must kill his parents of birth (done), kill the entire clan/blood line to become the sole successor (done), and finally to kill or take the eyes of a Sibling with equal power (further reason for sparing only Sasuke) in order for Itachi to reach the next level, or something like that. That's just how I would have wrote it but either way it was still a good twist and nice battle they had! And yeah Pain ending sucked cock for sure, that's what made that arc so crazy was that main characters were dying left and right that it felt Naruto had gotten more serious and edgy than ever! But no they just had to pull some stupid Ninja Magic shit and bring everyone back except the best character Pervy Sage. Smh.
