I feel like this arc is the peak of writing in all of Naruto. Yeah, the war arc is the climax, but Pain brought so much to the table that Obito and Madara couldn't fully bring up.

At the end , nagato too became a child of prophecy . With his choice of going against hatred with bringing everyone back . He finally acknowledged jiraya as his master ... . Naruto still hated him but didn't went for revenge after all 💯 What an incredible ending for an incredible arc 🔥

nagato did well to grasp again this little light of hope presented through naruto and also naruto did well to go against his hatred and trying to grasp this chance that nagato give him , even though for both of them , it wasn't that easy and it was a harsh path

Bruh Ichiraku Ramen Guy a real G, giving Naruto basic friendship and free meals was probably one of the only things that kept Naruto from being overwhelmed by all the hatred he received. I genuinely don’t think there’s an object in Naruto’s possession he values more than that for-life coupon lol

Top 3 arc of anime history. Just perfect from start to finish. From jiraya spying pain to Naruto saving everyone. Just perfect. Fights, animation, story, details. They were really on their bag when they created this masterpiece.

It is okay if you stopped watching Naruto after this. Just watching his happy face is a good end but what makes a great ending is in one of the last panels of the last chapter of the manga. A chapter titled Uzumaki Naruto (same as the first chapter). The last panel was Naruto's great stone face and a caption that read "Hokage"! :)

This is the best arc in all of anime, the writing is absolutely perfect, the emotions are intense beyond belief, the fights are crazy as hell, we see everything built up to this point pay off immensely. No anime will ever top this

No matter how many times I watch this scene my tears won't listen.

I cannot watch this without crying. Flashbacks have overused to oblivion by animes from this era but when used correctly like they did here it has a powerful effect

God. Its been so long that I forgot how god damn amazing this series was.

This one of the most emotional and proud moment in anime history we get so attached with naruto seeing him he got all he ever wanted people don't hate him any more they praise him as their savior their hero absolutely amazing ❤️❤️

I love that the second Kakashi came back to life, the first thing he did was rush to find Naruto

Naruto came from being seen as subhuman trash, to and actual human being, to a respectable shinobi, to securing a place for himself in Shinobi history as the Hero of the Hidden Leaf, then going even further and becoming the Saviour of the 4th Great Shinobi War. What a journey.

U know here naruto's dream evolved . He got what he wanted as a kid . Appreciation and acknowledgment 🔥🔥 Naruto got his dream with his actions and choices through his journey ( ebisu's flashbacks from the beginning till here 👍) But now , after meeting pain , his new dream is still becoming hokage for sure but for peace , stopping the hatred and going against pain . For hope . For jiraya , minato and his sibling students ❤

It felt like we watched our own make it to the top. After all the pain and struggle , finally getting that recognition

My favorite episode in all of Naruto. The writing here was absolutely perfect. It would’ve been fine if Naruto ended here, that’s how amazing this was.

That kind of almost slipped out of my attention when I was watching it myself but this time gotta appreciate thid detail. We actually were never shown before this very moment how citizens and other shinobis perception of Naruto was changing over time. Now we found out about it and it was so fucking awesome. From being the outcast he became the one everybody actually cared about. And his victory over Pain was the very peak of that. I think that is the main reason why perhaps many of viewers considered this arc the peak of Naruto, not just the action scenes, but this thing.

That flashback to the fight with Gaara gets me every time! Naruto was clearly the child of prophecy from day one.

this was dope aha one of my fav episodes in the entire show, when he finally achieves the villages respect and admiration

I still remember watching this for the first time. I grew up with him, related to him as he was mistreated. We both worked hard, to become strong people who others could respect. Naruto said "then every one will have to stop disrespecting me and look up to me like I'm somebody important." I cried tears of joy seeing him finally achieve that goal. Even now, I still tear up a little. The pain arc is legitimately one of the best arcs in the franchise, and I'm glad this show could make me feel so much.

Watched Naruto for the first time 15 years ago, since that I've rewatched the series three times, and so many clips and highlights, will always be one of my favorite shows of all time and will watch it again in the future

What hits deep here is Naruto just wanted the village to accept him. And his initial dream to be Hokage was so people had to acknowledge him. This is where it turned the corner. Now the village not only acknowledged him, but he was the beloved hero of the village. From then on, his dream to be Hokage was no longer about being acknowledged, but to protect the village that loves him and find a way to fix hatred in the ninja world as a whole.

Thats exactky why Naruto is the best long-term battle shounen and the best among Big 3. Cuz its the most challenging in terms of morals, ethic, ideologies and it has the best choreographed story telling. Look at this full circle of Shippuden (before War Arc) .

Man listen. Any fan of this show that's watched from the very 1st episode to this point. Felt every bit of admiration Naruto had been dreaming of from the start. How much a whole village hated a kid from birth to becoming the hero of the leaf with everything it took to get to that point (sheds tear) 🤷🏽‍♂️🤣🤣

This episode gets me EVERY time I watch it.

The fact that he came up with an answer that his master and his father can't figure out, makes him an amazing person by itself. He wanted to live up to his master's and father's legacy, by using that book. If the character change, the story would be changed too, then it wouldn't be "Naruto" anymore. We see this happens many times such as Nagato and Obito for an example. They abandoned their dreams and way of life to the point they're not themselves. Jiraiya once said that there's no place for fools in the world, but if it means Naruto have to forsake his way of life, then he rather became a fool for life. That's what makes him amazing as a person. Believe it or not, this is the same guy who once as a kid, trains by himself in the forest, eat mushrooms as daily foods and hangout all alone, most of the time.

The 4th Ninja War arc will never be as good. THIS was the peak of Naruto.

One thing that spoils it a little bit. "Jiraya sama is dead..." "How is Naruto ?!"

i always felt that it was the real end of naruto shippuden , naruto getting recognized by everyone , praised by everyone , have almost done the hokage's job to save the village from pain , seeing him as a hero as it was the real wish of the third and the fourth hokage , however , i think that if it did end up in this arc , its gonna left some part of the story unachieved
