You guys are awesome! I love the Ashtray of Glory! I used to drop my change in the money drawer of my car and in a big jar at the house. My kids will borrow my car or fill it up when I can’t find time and they take the change for I don’t know what. I don’t think they pocket it, but I think they grab a handful when they are buying something so they don’t have to deal with breaking a dollar. But when it empties and they do have to break a dollar, they don’t put it back. I have 3grandkids so the jar in the house is never full anymore. I don’t even know where the jar is. My granddaughter was doing chores to earn money to buy a doll she could not live without and when she almost had enough I told her to take the jar and count out what she needed and then I forgot about it. Until now. So her parents are going to roll their eyes when I call up and ask her where my jar is and the house is turned upside down trying to find it and send it down to Granny. They think I have gone senile with the random thoughts I have at the strangest times. They have no clue that an old Granny like me would EVER watch KZread let alone understand and be reminded of such things. They don’t know that I buy music videos of Pink and a few more artists. They come dig through our discs to find a Beatles or Pink Floyd song. Because we are so old, we don’t see the point in telling them that Dad sat down and digitized all our music so put what we wanted on our iPods then iPhones. If we did they would think our discs were there for the taking. Way way WAY off topic. I ramble. I am old and daft, you see. But I loved the Ashtray of Glory, and all that change just made her day! Thanks for another great video!!

We loved reading this Rebecca. My nan always had a pot of change for us and she was also an 'Adams', so maybe it runs in the family, and my dad always had change in his car, but we would never have touched it. I love the fact that you are still getting one over on your chidren by not letting them know how clever you really are. good luck with getting your jar back Fran x

Floating Our Boat kids are funny. The oldest is closer to 50 than 40 and the youngest is 45. So, of course, I am out of touch and don’t know the first thing about computers. Never mind that my first computer was the size of their electric car, only taller and I had to haul it to the OR several times a week. Pre DOS. It used MECOL commands and if I got in a hurry and dropped a colon it would curse me. The programmer (even then) had a great sense of humor. Never mind, either, that my husband can program DOS as good as Bill Gates could and when someone finds a device in the university basement and has no clue how to get it to work, my husband will walk them through setting up the autoexec.bat file to boot up into the program and send them a copy of whatever DOS version they are running to allow them to read the data on a newer computer (with detailed instructions on how to setup a choice at bootup to load Windows or DOS. Never mind that I am a control freak when it comes to data in the house because their troubleshooting skills in the world of plug and play are none existent. They only know that I have them do the install of whatever replacement part I have had sent over. They think I can’t do it. I can do it, but it is more difficult with arthritis in my hands and I don’t want to crawl around under the shop workbench with the dust and spiders. Sometimes, no matter how old they get they still don’t wise up. They have no clue you can get into your modem and ‘accidentally ‘ bump the gamer offline (oops) and set protocol to give my husband’s TV priority. They’ll come whomping downstairs (irritated because they just died in whatever world of Warcraft version to ask if we are having trouble with the internet. I give them hints like (we were having trouble about 10 minutes ago but I fixed it. An obvious clue but they probably think I unplugged it and thought I fixed it. Because I haven’t a clue. Old, you see. Kids stay kids when they think they are being heroic taking care of us. 🙄. Not the sharpest tacks in the box but think they run circles around me when, in fact, they are sitting still. THAT, and teaching the kids old stories or physics so that they think their progeny is psychic or geniuses, is what makes having my half smart kids underfoot in my dotage worth putting up with. We just laugh when they leave the room. They think we have senile giggles.

Thank goodness you don’t have the car any longer. I still think about a Rich going into the canal joined to the bike by the clips and how frightening that must have been. I love the Napton especially the Post Office. I started to work for the PO when I left school and ended up managingTrafalgar Square PO in London but Napton is the perfect PO in my opinion. The drone footage of the canal and Napton Hill with the windmill was lovely. Thanks as always for a great video.

Who watches the dogs when you go away for a weekend? To those of us stuck on land, it appears your life is a holiday, (aside from all the boat upkeep), but just curios, do you ever feel the need for a holiday and to get away from the cut. Know you kept a bricks & mortar home that you use as a B&b of sorts, but going to that I’m guessing often includes some work & upkeep, so I’m not sure I’d classify it a holiday for the owner.

Rich, I can't read the plaques that you show for just a few seconds in this video, and have to keep pausing the video so I can read them. Be a love next time and spend longer showing them? Ta! AND, thanks for my name in print at the end of the vid, my real name, not the Grumpybore tag name :-) I truly love all your videos and love you guys.
