NARROWBOAT Home TOUR | A Look Inside Our Off Grid TINY Floating Home!
Join us for a tour through our tiny off grid floating home! We will show you the ins and outs of our 56 foot narrowboat.
We have lived onboard full time for just over a year so there's lots to see but also plenty of jobs to do so we also talk a bit about what bits of DIY we will be doing in future videos.

Hello from Texas, USA. Enjoy watching your ventures on the canals. Retired and like to relax watching several of the canal narrowboat vlogs. Just started with yours and enjoying. Keep up the good entertainment.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I love you fellas so much. If I need cheering I simply watch you❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏
I'm an artist ,I love all the ceiling art, the flying garlic bread was the highlight of the tour 😂 Happy birthday ☺
What a lovely boat one of the best I have seen a bit Rosy and Jim. Loved the self ejecting garlic bread. Very impressed with the recycled pallet and wardrobe work. I have watched all your back issues and looking forward to the next.

Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks so much for watching. That garlic made a bid for freedom, and got away. Wonder where it settled down in the end...
Such a beautiful ❤boat I love all the unique character of ur home so much. 😊 I would love living in that beautiful home boat. I love the rose in the shower it gives it character you should keep it and definitely keep the pictures on the ceiling. With all the TLC you can make it more beautiful. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! 🎉
I’ve been living on my 42’ Trad style narrowboat for 23 years and I’m so envious of your space!!…😃…. I would love a decent galley and saloon area but I’m too old and skint now to change anything… thank you for allowing us to visit your home… 😊
Secret Squirrel’s 🐿 garden tips - When your plants bolt to seed like you mentioned. When you notice it just pinch or prune off the stem with the seeds/flowers. This will stop the plant putting all of its energy into producing seed and hopefully produce leaves again. If it’s already flowered and gone to seed, I usually collect the seed and store it for the next season. If I’ve had one really great plant, one that has produced a lot of leaves or whatever, I’ll try to collect the seed from that particular plant to save for the next growing season 🙂🐿🌈❤️
I have enjoyed watching a few of your episodes. I laughed out loud when the bread flew out the window. Funny
Hello You Three - greetings from Poland Thanks so much for showing me round your lovely home. I guess it's really snug and warm in the winter. Can you keep it cool in the summer time? Stay safe please and look after each other.

Hiya, it is warm in winter for us, but in summer whilst it's hot, we try and find shade as it can get rather hot!
What a beautiful ship. You have decorated it very tastefully. It really is an environment where you can feel at home. I certainly feel at home and hope to follow you on your KZread channel for a long time to come. Greetings from a Dutch boat owner, Marco

What a beautiful home you have folks. Looks comfy and with everything you need for a happy content life and I love it. Yes I'm sure it's hard work specially in the darker months but still it's gorgeous. Emily if you cut the bolted seed heads off the chard they will recover from the crown's with some TLC. Chard just loves growing the same as does leaf beet and spinach, goes on for ages. The tomatoes look like bush tomatoes and lovely and healthy you are doing so well. Thank you for the video. xxx

Brilliant! Thanks so much for the tips! We went away for for a few days and unfortunately the chard has dried out a bit. Lots of TLC is needed now :D I can't believe how many toms the little plants are growing! Good job they are just little cherry tomatoes :) So glad you enjoyed the boat tour, thanks again! Xx

Just love you guys so down to earth. This video reminds me of a time along ago when most boaters made do with any materials they had to .hand to create creature comforts . How times have changed with all these expensive paint jobs and all the expensive fit outs with every conceivable luxury that you can think of.

Hiya thanks so much, yes this is how we've chosen to modify the boat, coming from a past of van living and generally off grid life. Boating does seem to be getting more expensive, but luckily there are many lonely pallets out there waiting to become furniture...😆
The lost garlic bread had me giggling for a while. 😂 Love your boat. Just like any dream home it going to take a little work to make it your own.

What a lovely boat. 😃 Very arty interior. It's short of nothing and so cosy. Well done to you both and thank you for sharing this great video. 🥰😃
I came across you guys at around episode 16-17, and I've put off going back to the beginning because I wanted to have something to watch on my dark days to add a little light. The fact that I am here watching from the beginning will tell you how things are going in my world at the moment. I smiled right from the first episode as it was as brilliant as every other episode. You have a very lovely, functional life pod from stem to stern. Don't want to be weird here, but I love you guys, happy journey's in Portugal. Oops! You don't know you're going to Portugal yet, hope I didn't spoil the surprise. :)

You two are lovely .Thank you so much for the tour and for Ben for his use of pallets (man after my own heart). Your home is just that, not a gin-place, but somewhere you will enjoy. I am enjoying your journey.
You have a lovely home, so many nice touches. - dinner out the window was hilarious
Really enjoyed snooping round your home, it's very cosy & exactly as I'd expect it to be. I loved Alan Rickman too, what a nice tribute naming Alan after him. We had a black tom kitten years ago, were assured he was a boy so called him George & going for her first vaccination the vet kissed him on the nose & said what a pretty little girl she was 😸. She was forever Georgie after that. Haha, that bread!!!! 😁
Lovely boat thanks for showing us.
Hi. I`ve just discovered your channel and am watching your videos in order .I find them so interesting as you give a great insight into what seems a fascinating way of life and presented in such a nice natural way. Nothing seems to phase you when problems arise with the boat and you just carry on sorting things out in a nice relaxed way. Long may you continue.

Back in the 80's we used gas bottles like that and we had a double regulator which ment you could connect 2 gas bottles at the same time - this double adaptor had a special feature in which when the first bottle ran out it would automatically switch over to the other full bottle - I don't know if you can still buy them but if you can I would highly recommend!
New to the channel - great video - you've done what many people would love to and move onto the water. Looking forward to the story and adventure going forwards!

What a lovely little boat you have there. Wishing you a very happy belated happy birthday Emily. Thank you for explaining why your kitty is named Alan, it was a bit confusing. There is a channel called Oli Vella Narrowboat. Oli has a rusty narrowboat shell and he shows you the best and easiest way to get rid of the rust and do a 2 pack epoxy paint prep job. Well worth a look. Cheers

I'd think I would make a new reply since I don't remember much and we left the boat safe after. Maybe let's see if mom remembers her or maybe my my mom and dad and him together.
Thanks I enjoyed the tour it got me through some of my ironing 😆 my house is up for sale and my plan is to live on a narrowboat so it’s always encouraging to see people enjoying their tiny home. Having to let go of lots of stuff in the meantime … physically and metaphorically. But I’m very much attracted to life on water among nature living simply with less “stuff”. This is the first video I’ve watched of yours. What canal are you usually on? I’m by the grand union in berkhamsted though I’m looking forward to exploring the canal network once I have my new floating home. Love your dry sense of humour 😄
