David and I would LUV to one day be able to cross the pond and visit with you guys. However, at this time, monetary restrictions keep us from doing so ... it just isn't there.... very expensive I have found to do so. :( But yes, I will continue to watch ya'lls vids. :)

May I just say how much I like your style. A lot of interesting information too. I live in an old church, in Stroud with 14 other folk. We all have our own little flats but share cleaning and a car (although we don't all use the car at the same time). Anyway, thank you both.

It was great looking back at your adventure and it shows how time flies! I've always been interested in narrowboats and never had the confidence to do it but watching you and CC inspired me to have a go. In October I rented a boat with my husband (he wasn't inspired just nagged) and we cruised along the Rochdale canal. It was amazing and even though I fell over board in the dark and I mean pitch black, I loved it. We've already booked another bigger boat in April 2017 and this time we'll be cruising along the Leeds and Liverpool canal. So a big thank you and happy new year to you both.

You did inspire me. Don't take this the wrong way but sometimes an expert doesn't give you the confidence you need to to try something new, they can have the opposite effect and make you feel more inadequate. You both showed me that you just need to get on with it and that's what I did. I won't go into details about how I got out after I fell in but it involved a torch, nettles and dog s""" on the tow path. As for my husband, he enjoyed the holiday and he's looking forward to going again next year but me, I want to sell our flat in east London, buy a boat, leave my job and go continuous cruising. I don't want to exaggerate but your videos may have changed my life. Let's hope it doesn't mean that I have to change my husband!! That's a joke by the way. Looking forward to following you in 2017.

ummm, lots! However if I am naming a couple then: trying not to get too stressed about buying and moving house and also to do a little bit of anti cult activism (in a nice way, not standing outside assemblies with billboards) oh and both grumpy and I are planning on playing squash once a week but that one might be a hard one to stick to!! Ok, after watching a few of these vlog videos it has dawned on me Anna has a little habit of interrupting Kath. It's not interrupting as much as it is talking over Kath and I do want to hear what Kath has to say. It isn't a really bad thing. It just makes it hard to hear Kath sometimes. This video was uploaded on Dec 30, 2016 and here it is April 10, 2019 and I am so very excited that you two are still together and happily uploading vlogs about your life on the Narrowboat together. Especially since I have just started watching your vlogs and found them very relaxing but exciting, entertaining and informative. I love the entertaining part the most. It helps make my dull landbound life worth living to see what you two do on the next video. Wishing you many happy trips on the Narrowboat in the future.

Hope to be right, and next proves to be another great year, Next year looks to be a real hard one for me, Two of us are planning to be losing a bit of weight. Scale up on the first, then bound to starve. I hope for something near 4 pebbles! As the other team mate only needs to lose a few pounds.Cheers

Not living full time as yet.....but hopping too very soon. I've been on boats, both sea, river and canals since being in short trousers. Been on the Kennet & Avon canal since it reopened in '91. Love your videos and your hugely different personalities.

The River Kennet is only difficult in winter especially in wet spells - ame as the River Avon between Bath to Bristol. I would highly recommend it. Bet bits are between Bradford on Avon to Bath through the Limpley Stoke Valley, the Caen Hil Flight (29 locks). Do look in at the Barge Inn at Honey Street. It's the home port for those who believe in crop circles and aliens etc. A surreal experience! Bristol has fantastic nightlife and a great. Live band scene. Bath is just breathtaking ....!

The Narrowboat Experience well, the end of January heading to Southern US for warmer temps, as we live in very cold Michigan. 3 weeks in our RV with hubby and 2 dogs. we're referring to as the Big Adventure..of all goes reasonbly well, we will plan more longer trips..fingers crossed!

Loved it as always! Tas and I watched this one together. Our new year's resolution is to work less. (Tas is very on board with it and I'm trying to make him work more.) Also to build our first off-grid cabin at 100 Acre Wood :) And get a cat!!!!

Happy new year. I will be starting my Vlog soon and have an idea no one has done yet, watch this space.

My brother, a life long boat captain and owner, has always said that "a boat is a hole you throw your money into". Unless you love the lifestyle, boating is not something that a person should jump into thinking it will be a replacement for a house and all that comes with owning a static structure.

I found this video, as with most of your videos, funny, unscripted, and entertaining. It does, however, beg the question of why that happened. What started as a knock on the door and then became a brief view of rocket cat passing through the room, is what provokes the question. What has Mr. Munchkin been doing when off the boat that he knew the knock on the door was for him? Why was he thinking that a constable or process server was after him?

There are several hotel boats some narrow and some wide beam. You can book to stay on them and they feed you and take you along the canal.
