    They manage to convince you that the family is struggling, that they can't afford this and that so don't even ask for anything...and when you later find out how much they exaggerated their expenses, taxes and otherobligations, you feel really stupid. I was convinced in my teens and young adulthood that monthy expenses for our house must be enormous, later...paying for my own expenses ...i was shocked, it as not such a big deal at all..especially if you have a good payed job, regular job.

    Thank you for talking about the experience of the kids with parents like this. Most of the advice out there is geared to romantic relationships. I watch every one of your videos when they come out and helps me maintain NC for my own good
