NAOYA INOUE KNOCKS OUT LUIS NERY! | Office Reactions | Boxing World

BEST FIGHTER IN THE WORLD?!
This morning, for us in Canada, last night in Japan, one of the best fighters in the world proved why they are just that yet again. Naoya Inoue, after getting dropped for the first time in his career, came back and knocked out Luis Nery in six rounds to defend his undisputed titles!
Is he the pound for pound number 1 and does he beat Sam Goodman?!

    Unlike other boxers, Inoue does not aim for a decision, but fights for KO. Naturally, he enters his opponent's territory, so there is a risk of being hit by a bullet. But Inoue was not hit by a bullet except for the first round down. Other boxers would be hit by many bullets if they aim for KO in every match. People who watch fighters who always outbox each other may not understand this. Inoue has said before: "If I want to win by decision, I can win without getting punched. But the fans don't want to see that, so I'm going to take the risk and go for KO.” This is the mentality of a special fighter.

    It is frightening because he actually has the skills to do it. If any other boxer said, "I can win without getting punch," he would probably be ridiculed.

    He has the best defense, but his intention to knock out his opponent made him bit wreckles, thats where he got hit for the most.. And he like trade punch too, thats why us fans love it..

    Great reaction guys! According to one of Inoue's coaches, he's even been simulating and practicing what to do when he's knocked down, including taking time until count 8 to get up despite not being hurt that much. Just incredible. Cheers from Japan

    Inoue built differently. One thing I love about him the most is that he doesn't duck. He knows Sam Goodman is the last remaining top fighter at 122. He's going to do what he did in his last weight division. He's going to clean out all the top fighters in the division before moving up. Expecting to see Naoya Inoue knockout Sam Goodman in September and announce to the world he will be moving up to featherweight. All these featherweight champs like Ford and Luis Alberto Lopez got some big title fights coming up. Don't be ducking cause the monster coming for them titles. I hope Figueroa gets the title fight with Vargas because I would love to see Inoue vs Figueroa at the monster debut at 126.

    @@FTFCHRIS I feel like Raymond Ford and his team would be the one ducking. It's not entirely ducking because he expressed of moving up weight after defeating Kholmatov. I agree that these champions would take on these fights especially guys like Lopez and Espinoza because they'll become millionaires by doing so. Figueroa has already expressed his interest in fighting Inoue but i don't see them fighting unless Figueroa takes the WBC belt from Vargas. Lopez and Espinoza will most likely fight in Japan. But I want to see Inoue stateside again and the only fighters that could bring him over here are Raymond Ford and Brandon Figurora. Unless, Shu Shu Carrington lands one of the world titles.

    At this point, I would not question if Inoues' power will carry over to 126lbs. He's been moving up in weight as his body matures and based on his frame,126 may just be his "natural maximum" weight. Let's not forget, he started out at light flyweight 108lbs. The right fight at 130lbs is possible with the right fighter? If he were to dip his toes into those waters, I would not expect him to dive right in, like he did at 126lbs with an underpowered, but decent boxer in Stephen Fulton. His team, and father are smart enough to know what they can expect from him, and will absolutely never, ever put him into a losing position.

    The Speed of Inoue is Insane..His Stance always on the position to Throw Heavy Punches. Why he has Speed and Power? Why?

  • @pallen49

    @pallen49

    10 күн бұрын

    Inoue was born 'heavy handed'..kind of like Big George Foreman who many also said he's heavy handed...Also, Inoue's speed is due to he was born with what they call a 'fast twitch muscle'.. Some people have it and some don't. Or some have it more than others...If you're born with it, then you're already a few steps ahead of your opponent. Regarding to his power, I believe it's in his 'torque'. Some boxing expert even mentioned it. They said Inoue generate so much force due to his torque...See how Inoue didn't have to wind up, he can hurt you even from a short distance because it's all due to togue..For a long time I didn't understand about 'torque' until I read about how vehicles has certain amount of torque..If a car has more torque abilities than your car, it will be able to generate power more quicker and able to pull that weight easier too..If you ever want a muscle car or a car with a lot of power, not just at the horse power, but look for the torque capabilities as well. I'm no expert but it's how I understand it lol

    Nery, Tapales and Fulton were in my opinion all prudent at first, then somehow never got their momentums, and got KOs. That's how I saw and wondering why this have been happening. All I can think of is due to the damage they held and cold feet against Inoue's power.

    According to Top Rank, Naoya Inoue's September matchup with Sam Goodman has been canceled and will be replaced by a matchup with Terrence John Doheny! It seems that we might be able to compete against each other next December! Originally, many in the media were skeptical, and Australian former four-division world champion Jeff Fenech said on local broadcaster Nine Network's Wide World of Sports, ``Sam is a great prospect, but he's a great prospect.'' If he thinks he can beat Inoue, listen to me. If he loses, he has to recover from it, but it won't be the same." He then added, "I don't know what he's doing. ``It's suicide,'' he said, adding, ``If you're going to become world champion in the future, you should stop now. You'll get knocked out.'' Maybe those voices from those around him reached Goodman?
