Extremely informative! I've got a '21 Yamaha GP with the NanoXcell2 hull. I take EXTREME caution not to damage my hull. What a nightmare to fix any damages. Hopefully I'll never need to.. Didn't realize just how much work it takes. Thanks!
I have to fix a small 1” spot on mine where the paint came off from the trailer bunk. This is perfect timing I found you performing this repair.

@@montromaximo7726 Nanoxcel and Nanoxcel2 are essentially the same hull and the repair process is the same. Nanoxcel2 is supposed to be approx 18% lighter than the original design, and this is accomplished by reducing resin and heavy materials with lighter fillers like cab-o-sil and microspheres. HP to weight ratio increases making these machines fast. There is a fine line to run as these hulls are naturally thin, and risk of severe damage caused by improper or accidental use increases.
Thanks for taking the time to create this video. What methods do you use to get out basic scuffs?
I have a ton of Denatured alcohol from lceaing bike chains. I know there are additives in there. Any issue in using that vs. rubbing alcohol?

Soooo, I looked it up, and based on what is or could be in it, I would advise against it as it could leave a residue or film or soften material and that in turn will botch your repair. Best to stay with Isopropyl Alcohol in its purest form.

Most important part.
Have you ever used lord fuzor ez 100 on these hulls

I can honestly say that I have never even heard of the product. I would be interested in looking into it though. Would I just look up Lord Fuzor EZ 100 then?
What kind of jack stands are these?

The stands I used here are standard boat stands. They are designed and use to support all sorts of boats off of trailers. Depending on the size of the boat depends on how many you would use. I will be doing a video in a few weeks about removing a boat from the trailer and using these stands and I would be glad to include the type of stands etc. In that video. Thanks for watching and I hope this answers your question

100% you can just use fiberglass repair, nano is just a fancy word they use and a finish process

The "nano" is actually a wax they cut the fiberglass with to make it lighter. It smears when you sand and prep so you have to use a wax remover before you apply the glass.
What the hell happened to that thing?

From what I understand, it came off its mooring during a storm and spent a night or 2 up on some gravel and rocks on the shoreline.

Was wondering that too, looks like it was dragged down the road!
Absolute crap hulls. While they are lighter, it isn’t that different overall. Kawasaki uses a true fiberglass hull that’s thick and heavy. Yamaha and SeaDoo spec their PWCs as a dry weight, whereas Kawasaki Specs it as a wet weight. The gap between them is about 100 pounds(depending on model) and you get a heavy duty hull. Yamaha is finally figuring it out, and on some of their models are going back to SMC.
You talk too much. Just do the repair already.
