Nannie Faye Doesn't Argue With Dummies | The Southern Tea Podcast

Ойын-сауық

Lindsie is joined by, the one and only, Nannie Faye to give us some good ol' grandmotherly advice! Nannie discusses her thoughts on always choosing your partner before your friends, how she's always been honest with all her grandchildren, the differences in the younger generations, and shares her advice to other grandparents when it comes to dealing with their grandchildren.
Nannie also answers listener questions, talks about the time she used her Harvard Medical Journal to diagnose a sickness, and after a scandalous Weekly Tea, reminds us about God's intentions with marriage.

I don't give a damn if it does hurt Lindsey's feelings, she's way out of line with nanny Faye, I wouldn't blame nanny Faye if she moves out of Lindsey's house and stops talking to Lindsey, but , that ain't who nanny Faye is, you can see how jealous Lindsey is with the whole family she acts like they owe her and they don't

I am so on the same page as Nannie Faye . I guess it is just generation. Raised the same, cook from scratch and work hard and when things didn’t work we fixed it . Put our Heart and Souls into everyday living life. Cooking, cleaning, mending, raising our families, yard work, gardening or just building or creating . We have great pride and love for our families don’t take anything for granted. In other words they were the ‘GOOD OL’ DAYS’. Back when there was trust . Could leave doors unlocked and a persons word meant something .`Didn’t have to worry about guns and the problems we have today. My heart aches for this generation and the next . They should be able to grow up like we did back in the day . Love to your family ❤️ May God Bless ❤

this whole thing is so damn awkward. 🥴😬 Lindsie speaks so coldly. She’s saying nice enough things, but it’s in a very awkward, cold, and disconnected way. Not to mention she spends half the time reading from that paper instead of making eye contact. It’s like she’s reading her thoughts on the paper and wrote down everything she was going to say like a script.

Ms. Nannie Faye you are spot on with your advise❤ nothing like good bought experience, you live and you learn. I’m 68 and raising my 12yr. Old Grandson,he will ask me Granny how do you always know everything going on around you lol,I say because I have eyes in the back of my head ! His Dad was cutting up a few days ago like he was going to do something I would have not approved of,my Grand said don’t even try cause you know Granny has eyes in the back of her head and we can’t fool her! Loll children today have. It too easy unlike our generation, also when you feel like you have been slighted in life maybe you need to be more humble to others. Lindsie it’s not important to always feel like you are right in every situation, soften up some in life and I’m sure you will feel much better!I don’t think no one is out to get you, your wasting a lot of your good young years feeling like you always need to be right.give yourself a big hug and get on with living your life❤❤

I was brought up like nannie, I wish she was my nannie but my parents are older than her. I’ve always felt that Lindsay hold’s bitterness from when her dad left her mother, bc children feel abandoned to a degree when their father moves on to start a new family. Nannie Faye, I am improved listening to your remarkable comments on living and you bring serious considerations to this podcast. Lindsie listens, too, and I like her attentive manner. This is a nice, serious podcast. Lindsie's education shows in the best way. I have learned about today's makeup from Savannah, and skin care from Lindsie, and Dawn detergent from Nannie. My question for Nannie is "Does Nannie think that the basics of cleaning up the kitchen counters, bathroom and bedroom counters is a set up for a daily happy home? I have never heard of Mayo in cornbread? I am in Nannie's generation but current conditions prompt me to prepare Depression-era food, without some of the starches . Stew meat is surprisingly inexpensive now. If you are paying attention, $$ can be saved at the supermarket. I believe that the words of the Bible are not orders laid down; they are descriptions of the deepest facts of our conscientious nature. "Till death do you part" is a description of how conscience works since a vow is usually given first to love and protect the other person; it remains in one's conscience at some level even if they separate.
