Seeing the picture of Dan holding his red rooster (I think it's a rooster) is so touching. It speaks to his loving & caring nature. I can imagine his chickens & dogs loved him so much, seeing him bright & early to tend to them every day. And dropping off coffee grounds to his neighbor for her garden. 🌱💓He was so beloved. What a sweet & beautiful soul. RIP Dan Brophy.🌹❤

They also brought up that it could have been some "enraged" person who applied to the school but didn't get into classes...or any electrician/repairman/plumber/gas man that had ever come to the school. It seems to be they want to dispute Karen's testimony (Day 4?5?) that Nancy cut back on how much time she was spending with the senior Brophys after Dan's death. I guess they want to make like Karen is lying. If you re-watch Karen's testimony, I think you'll agree that this would be a DISASTROUS tactic, since you can't but hear her speak and feel for her and her loss. Karen's testimony also had plenty of acknowledgement that she might mis-remember things because of her age. It was built in. Why would you want to turn someone into a liar who's already put out there she might mis-remember? For all that, Karen was soooo careful and thoughtful about what she said. IMO It's not even important whether Nancy visited Karen less or called her less. It is true Nancy told them she didn't want their help getting the house together.

When does this trial resume? Never seen such sparatic days of a trial, & a defense such as this one. Has had plenty of time to put a case together though IMO would be a lost but in this case I wouldn't be surprised if there's an appeal due to the defense's lack of representation. Graduates could do better. JS .At the end of the day IMO she is totally guilty. What a horrific crime against this man. My heart, & prayers go out to the precious parents, & family of MS. Brody. Hope the defendant gets life without parole.

Does anyone have any idea what the purpose of the forensic telephone guy is? Why would he be investigating Nancy's calls with Nathaniel, Karen, and Jack? It's just appalling to be intrusive with them. Note: they hired this guy just last week.

Aha! I think I've figured this out. This whole day of defense case should be put up against the testimony of Karen Brophy (Dan's mom, Day 4 and 5?). Karen said they saw less and less of Nancy after Dan's death. (It looked to me like that from the phone records, too, but I'm sure this will be spun a different way.) I guess defense is trying to make Karen and Jack out to be liars. This is a HORRENDOUSLY BAD idea. Karen is one of the most emotional witnesses to listen to. Her answers are well-considered and careful. Everyone will recognize her as a lovely person. Trying to impugn her credibility is just..... At any rate, look at Day 4 Afternoon. This is spellbinding.

Lol. You do know they can trace a person's whereabouts via phone signals. And since she LIED to the police about where she was, and was caught on CCTV driving past the murder scene when she claimed she was home, it's a BIG DEAL. LOCK HER UP.

This is a stunning amount IMO. And Susan wasn’t the only one. Dan’s family was helping, the other writers, the landscapers… Susan did none of the packing or moving boxes. I don’t know anyone in the landscaping business or house cleaning who would make enough to buy a car in two months. IMO Susan got a car for bringing Nancy a Starbucks in bed every morning.

@@myadhdlife4869 - It has been reported that she intends to testify, but it isn’t certain until she actually takes the stand. I expect the prosecution will have tough questions ready for cross. If she does testify, but never discusses the video which seems to show her in the area at the right time, I’m not sure if they can ask her about it. They certainly can talk about it in closing arguments, though. If defense has offered no explanation for her whereabouts on that morning, the proscutor will have a field day. Why can’t she plausibly account for her presence in the area?

This comment has nothing to do with the case and it is coming from a european. Who TF does Not make sure they have the ability to make coffee when needed; relies on a coffee chain? We are talking about a society of laziness and convenience here. It is hard pressed to talk of the US as a 'society' though these days. Even the idea of 'community' uttered by Americans sounds laughable. When 'socialisme' is a hellhole trap in your opinion, don't speak of 'togetherness'. Every man/woman for her/him-self and if possible revert back to the 'Wild, wild West' and glorify the use of guns.. No other international super-power need concern about the US; y'all imploding as is; the world sees it.

Did anyone else notice that it was pretty obvious Susan rarely talked to Nancy in the months before Dan's death? Does that mean Susan just suddenly showed up? Is there any evidence Susan actually came to Oregon when she said she did? Overstreet doesn't seem to think the "friends and family" memorial happened.
