ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ಶುರುವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ದಶಕ ಕಳೆದಿದೆ. 2011ರಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭವಾದ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ಹಿಂದೆಂದಿಗಿಂತ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ದೆಹಲಿ ಮೆಟ್ರೊ ನಂತರ ಇದು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಎರಡನೇ ಅತಿ ಉದ್ದದ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ಜಾಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೂ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಮೊದಲ ಅಂಡರ್‌ ಗ್ರೌಂಡ್‌ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಒಂದು ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿ ಸುಮಾರು ೬ ಲಕ್ಷ ಜನರನ್ನು ಈ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ಹೊತ್ತೊಯ್ದು ಅವರರವರ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ದಿನವಿಡಿ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ಜನರನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ಅಲೆದಾಡುವ ಈ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ಸದಾ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಂದವಾಗಿಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದು ಹೇಗೆ ಅನ್ನುವ ಕುತೂಹದಿಂದ ನಾವು ಬಯ್ಯಪ್ಪನಹಳ್ಳಿಯ BMRCL Depoಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
