Does anyone who attended 2020 NAMM remember a luthier on the main floor with basses that had a partly fretless upper-scale neck for the high strings only, where the fretless portion was moved slightly to compensate for the positioning (IOW no need to move up or down to finger where the note would be if the fret were there)? It's super easy to play and was incredibly intuitive. I did play the Mattissonbass (amazing) and a bunch of others but I'd LOVE to find that fretted-fretless designer. I should have put in orders then and definitely regret it. Thanks for any help.

As a wannabe bass guitar player, I'm drooling at some of this stuff. I'm primarily a drummer and I'm REALLY excited about new drum stuff! Drool, drool, drool!

Hi Ben, Warwick are going to build Sadowsky basses in Europ and China. The Metro Express series in China, and the Metro and Custom Shop models in Germany (as far as I know) under license of Roger Sadowsky. I believe they will bring some German made Metro and CS models with them. Could you check them out and give your opinion about them? That would be awesome, thanks!

Yes, I heard at about the Sadowsky/Warwick relationship at a high level. Thanks for the extra detail! I’ll check them out.

Could you ask EBMM if they will do a "Special" update to the USA Sterling basses? Would be great if they got the same treatment as the Stingray did. Get the weight down!

I cannot get behind the Joe Dart bass. I don't like how it looks, but more importantly a stripped down passive bass is not what I want if I'm spending $2000 on an Ernie Ball product. I'm saving up for a StingRay 4HH at the moment.

I am of the opinion that every bass from here on out should have giant knobs. :)

@@soundslikeben I don't mind the knob, but it just seems like he wanted a P bass. It doesn't have any of the features that make a StingRay cool. I'm also not into unpainted basses, but that's less important.
