Complete right and left hand separation. Yet totally together. Unbelievable talent.
Joey plays so easily, you look at him and it just flows from him. What a fantastic organist.
Man the way he says "Nah, back beat" to the drummer and then it changes everything is awesome.
I am in tears. I love Jimmy Smith, the King of the Hammond B . Organ. Joey Defrancesco was supposed to go on tour with Jimmy in 2005, unfortunately, after losing his wife months earlier, Jimmy passed away, Joey and Jimmy never made that tour. Joey is carrying the mantle for one of the most spiritual instruments on the planet. I hope to see him play live, as I was trying to procure tickets for the tour he and the Master Jimmy Smith were to undertake together. I just sent this to my nephew...
0:33 - quick adjustment for the drummer there - 'uh-uh, backbeat' - classic
He makes the left hand stuff look effortless. Amazing.
I have followed his career since I was young, LOL And since he was young. Not enough positive words can express the amazing talent this guy has been gifted with.
I think Viscount Legend is the best Hammond B3 clone ever made and more. A really impressive work of their engineers and really impressive playing!

I just got mine, very satisfied, sounds good, the leslieswitch a bit corroded though, nothing else, a good clone
Seriously, I almost screamed for myself, so much I like that you can do with this instrument!
Joey is totally awesome! He plays like he has three brains! Drummer did a great job too! I love it.
Man... if you ever need a smile, this is the vid that makes that happen. What a pleasure and a joy to listen to. Well played sir... well played.
Those bass lines are perfectly groovy, funny, much more high above sadness and and anger, and let us come in this joyful singing welcoming world of Music with all these subtle and smart chords that play with us and surprise us because they do not arrive exactly when and where they were expected... Nice funny version, cover of my favorite song ever ONE HUNDRED WAYS
Amazing. People like this are from another planet, or they're connected directly into the music mainframe.

He played this song last week in South Africa, he is genius. I could not miss that great performance over 2 days.
SMOOKIN! What a keyboard artist. Brain to fingers-exquisite!!! The best.
Grandissimo Joey. In tutti i sensi !
It makes me wanna cry. This man is gifted!

I love this tune so much!
The Hammond is a lost art. Hope more people like Cory Henry start emerging.
His hand independence in my opinion is through the roof. Very gifted.
Joey - You`re the best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forever
It's crazy to think we came out of the same Highschool in Philly. So much talent in the city of brotherly love.
Superb! Thank you for uploading the full tune!
An absolute joy to listen to.
Awesome all the time. You can feel the Music..
One of my favorite songs by the late James Ingram 😁I'm loving this.
Love that sound!
Joey just gets better year after year. I remember reading about him way back in the day in Keyboard Magazine when he was an up and coming skinny kid, we had no internet back then so it wasn't until years latter I actually heard him .. and he was killer .. even back then.

I have his first album. Looks like Ralph Macchio on the cover. :-D
I first heard Joey D. on a jazz radio station in the SF Bay Area (KCSM); playing his rendition of "Work Song", from his 'Live at the 5 Spot' album; back in what I believe was 1992 or 93. Since then, I've had nothing but great admiration and respect for this gentleman.
The most amazing Hammond player ever lived on this earth. A musical magician indeed. Wow.

Bruh, you might be stretching that just a tad there my friend! Don't forget there was Jimmy Smith, Charles Earland, Jimmy McGriff, Groove Holmes and Jack McDuff, all of which I got a chance to play except for Groove Holmes! Not to mention the females organists, Shirley Scott and Barbara Dennerlein and a whole host of beasts!! Taking absolutely nothing away from Joey DeFrancesco, whom I've had the pleasure to meet and hear him play live, he is such a beast in his own right and may be the best living today, but the best who ever lived on this earth, c'mon bro, back it up a little bit bruh!! LOL I feel you though!!!

Absolutely Joey no question but the greats innovated and changed the game......can I respectfully put forward the one and only a Brian Auger......who introduced a new more modern approach the the Hammond blending beautifully jazz, rock, soul and funk! Herbie Hancock called him the greatest Hammond player alive and he has been so productive since the early 60s. There is room on this earth for all these greats however, and Joey is most certainly one of them.

Thank you so much for this! You are a beast on that organ Joey! Lol you did James proud fo sho! R.I.P James Ingram.
Grazie, caro Joey sei di un livello sovraumano.
Caught myself looking at my computer screen sideways trying to see what drawbar settings Joey is using...LMBO!!! I love how Joey is using some very practical and standardized settings to show what his signature Viscount can do sonically.
James Ingram, RIP 2019 ! Thank you, my brother !
Damn Mr. DeFrancesco you're such a beast...thank you for sharing this witn us 😁
Credo esse cara é fenomenal, nem vou me arriscar postar em inglês. Maravilhoso e assustador tamanha habilidade e coordenação motora manifestada em musica boa.

Amazing talent!
Looking and playing just fine joey!
Excellent delivery on the Hammond B3 !!!
Fantastic Player
....with headphones on....wow Great sounds....
DeFrancesco never ceases to amaze, but drummer also has skills.
Fantastic!
It must be more than just nice if you can display some musical genius during an afternoon showcase. Joey still looks like he can move his organ all by himself. That's even better.
Credit to the drummer too, very articulate plaaying
