Joey jumped back after his last performance because Peter Erskine showed up and Joey “had” to play with him. The crowd had started to disperse, and I ended up with a prime spot.

Non mec , ce n'est pas ridicule , c'est deux musiciens qui ont quarante années de métier , tu verras DeFrancesco jouer les basses au pédalier pour libérer les mains au clavier & Erskine swingue avec une Jazzette minimaliste du feu de Dieu. Tout ça avec une joie et un entrain hors pair !!!!

Utterly fantastic. I've gone down the Peter Erskine "rabbit hole" today here on KZread and just found this. I love both these musicians and this was swingin'. Talk about listening to one another!

.....AWESOME!!! Peter can swing harder with just 1/4 notes, than most can do with a whole lot more!!...

As Joey was jamming away my eyes were fixated on Peter Erskine drumming. Even when he makes mistakes he’s amazingly cool. Boy what a hell of a drummer he is!

Joey is a super talented multi versed multi disciplined artist...I admire him..and I'm a B--3 guy with a Viscount with his name on it...you go Joe.
There Will Never Be Another You... Peter on drums is swing'n on that small kit. Joey is lay'n down a mean left hand groove and machine gun accurate song interpretation and solos. Super musicianship and music. Crazy thing, Joey taps the C, B and sometimes the B flat pedal, though the tune is in E flat. I see Jimmy Smith does this too. That's encouraging, because learning to walk the bass with the left foot would be a long time in coming, but tapping those 3 pedals notes on the downbeats for effect, I think could be learned more quickly.

Could have been down to how much room they had on the stand at this show.
ONE OF THE GREATEST ORGANISTS THAT EVER LIVED NOT TO MENTION GREATEST MUSICIAN BECAUSE HE KNEW SEVERAL INSTRUMENTS. NOT TO MENTION KEYBOARDESTS.......AND TALK ABOUT AD LIB!!!
