it doesn't matter whether it's harmless or not, if it's against the country's culture or laws, then you shouldn't do it as a tourist. But we all know white people/westerners think they are superior. Then when they're imprisoned for long in other countries for minor offences like carrying a gram of weed they start crying about unfairness. Respect the law and culture of the country you're visiting. Or stay in your country.
