they just updated the site too the past 48 hours because like you know, im looking hard at getting something and of course the nami is top on my list. i was checking it out then when i went back to FFR the price jumped up like 500 bucks and i was like wait what? then i noticed the "Max" in the title. i was holding out hope for a next gen nami with new lights and what not but meh ill take it and work out the kinks hah. much appreciated man, videos are super helpful.

Adjust the brake rotors with an adjustable wrench. Works just as well as the tool. Go for slight bends back towards straight. Just takes a few minutes on my mtb and they're good as new (barring any huuuge bends).

Thanks for the video! I was on the fence about buying a high end scooter and you convinced me not to waste my time. I'd like riding one but the maintenance on these things looks intense.

And at this point I would be on the fence on telling someone I think it's worth it. I told another guy how these hyper scooters are like Ferrari's. They're amazing to drive but something always seem to be up with them. Then you have alot of people who's owned these and ride them as a daily driver and have no issues. You always hear about the bad things that goes wrong but the hundreds (and sometimes thousands)!of success stories are overlooked. I took my Dualtron Victor for a 20mile stroll around town this weekend just to humble myself with it's performance vs the nami and it wasn't very humbling under 40mph lol. All in all of the three scooters I have the ninebot Max 30 is the only one that never gave me a single issue. It's been rock solid and just goes......it just won't go over 19mph 😒. With these higher end scooters you just have to buy the one that best meets your needs on paper and buy some tools to keep it maintained because like anything high performance, it will need maintenance

Maybe this is a sign to wait for the Ninebot GT’s to come out. After tons of research I picked the Nami because it seemed the most reliable but now I’ve seen some reoccurring trends of problems and it’s off putting. Man I really appreciate the compliments. Just to tap on the Segway GT2 (assuming that's the one you'd get) if you pre-order it now, you can pick it up for $3500 which is alot in my opinion, but will be cheap compared to the released price. I bought my victor because ninebot didn't have a ultra high performance scooter for me to buy. I've sent them 7 emails since early last year for an ultr high performance scooter. Without getting too deep into things I've asked for I did ask for 50-55mph, 90+miles of range and all weather resistance/proofing and a target price around $3500. Then they released info on the new GT1 and GT2. I want a Segway ultra high performance scooter but daym man. That GT2 is just a high performance scooter at best. Look I have alot to say about the GT1/GT2. Segway is hyping them up talking about how they are super scooters and you have $2700 scooters that would mop them up in any category. With all of that being said, I would be on the fence recommending you buying one of those unless you absolutely don't care about the astronomically heavy weight of them and hefty price for O.K. performance but ultimately only care about the "potential" reliability and very cool looks. If I was going to recommend someone buy the GT2, I would only tell you to buy it now as a pre-order or during Black Friday. I wouldn't pay over $3500 (pre-tax) for that. It's not giving me enough for the money.

All those issues you mentioned are on most scooter brands, I have received many scooters and the brake rotor is very rarely not slightly bent, but they can be straightened and used. Brakes needing to be bleed same thing, some brands are worse then others and some brands it’s rare but happens. If you buy from a company some go over the scooter and try to make sure that it’s ready to ride when you get it, Ride The Glide is one of those companies that go over it and make sure it works properly before it’s picked up or shipped. Some pretend to do that like Voro motors, they check off the paper they put in the box but don’t do the work on the scooter.( what a joke) So far I find your review right on the money, but that could be because it was your money you spent for the scooter.

Ahhh makes sense. I always wondered if it was "typical" or not. I also felt if you purchased a scoot from an actual store, you probably wouldn't have these issues because they would have sorted it all out before selling it. I really appreciate you confirming this as It was always floating in the back of my head and the closest scooter dealer is about 700-800miles from me to ask and confirm if that's really the case. I try to think about the things people don't think about the talk about them. I of course can't figure them all out but comments like yours reinforce ideas and bring new thoughts to the table and for that I thank you!

Hey that’s was a great video. So I just bought a Bronco Xtreme 11. So I bought PMT Tires. Tubeless. I’m new to the scooter game. But my question to you is that I was told that since it’s a split rim I’m gonna need an inner tube. Can I just go out to a bike store and get an inner tube or do you need a specific inner tube for these tires?

If those pmt's are the same size as stock, you can use the stock innertube

I know. I told a friend of mine how I am glad to be living in this era of electric mobility. I got my motorcycle license like 4yrs ago and it ended up being a newfound love (and still is) for traveling on 2 wheels and really enjoying the landscape and getting into motocamping and things like that..... Then there are these electric scooters. My my my. Just being able to explore cities using bike paths and such is just amazing. I only hope that people continue to ride responsibility to keep lawmakers off our asses for as long as possible while still enjoy the therapy you get from riding these things. Arrived today, 03/31/22.. the silicone protectors for the Garmin Edge 530 and the Garmin Edge 1030. I also still have the silicone protector for the Garmin Edge 830 and after you told me it fits like a latex glove it gave me a better sense of what to expect, so I tried the 830 on it again… extremely stretching it, but was able to get it on. Here’s my findings, the 530 and the 830 are the same size, the only difference is the back cut-out design of the two. The 1030 is a tidbit too big. With all that said I believe there’s a great possibility both NAMI scooters Gen 1 and Gen 2 has the same size computer head. Just needed to really stretch the case like you instructed. Thanks.

I really really appreciate you checking back in on which fits exactly. I also apologize for not mentioning how tight the edge 830 cover will be to fit. Who would have known the edge 830's cover was the same size. I was put on to that cover by another nami user and I actually have an edge 530 that I use when I ride my gravel bike and for some of the rides I do on the scooters. I just never thought to use their silicone covers for the nami

You can find pictures posted on the "Nami electric" page on fb btw. Other countries have gotten them in already. I do feel like they overpriced our "Burn E 2" units here in America though kir. I thought it'd be a little cheaper. Hopefully the 60v version coming out hits the sweet spot around 25-3 though so more people can experience the Nami. I'll stick with my 35ah though! Haha.

I've been watching all the reviews, but this one has been the most helpful, nice work! I bought a Ghost a few weeks ago and am already thinking of upgrading, especially the suspension. The Ghost does 37mph (20mph up our steepest hills), and I don't need to go much faster, so I'm seriously considering the base Burn-E 2. It's too bad I didn't just start with a Nami!

Man I really appreciate the compliment. To go with what you said towards the end of your comment, I wish you would have started with the base NAMI as well. I've gotten nothing but good reports on it. Everyone who's ordered one really love it. And it isn't a huge downgrade from the Burn-e max overall. You won't have the top end but you'll still have strong acceleration and very good range for what it is. The ghost is a pretty good machine from what I've heard as well. The good thing is when you finally step foot on a NAMI, you will be set for a long time. I've seen many new scooters and the NAMI is such a good performer, I don't care to get another scooter. Nothing on the market is so good that makes me feel I want to 'upgrade". If you decide to pull the trigger, I think you'll be happy. If you EVER think about upgrading, you'd probably want to upgrade to a Burn-E max orrrrrr any new future NAMI models. Don't worry, NAMI won't make any new models that would outperform the Burn-E mini but likely will make a model that would match it's overall performance but probably will be smaller in size.

I see I see lol. Good stuff and you are very welcome!. Btw. I remember seeing you mention something about maguras. I would recommend riding with the logans first unless you just have extra $$ and want maguras for asthetics. Those Logan's are apparently very good function wise. I am more of a range rider and so brakes isn't something I look for as an important upgrade. You may be a fast/aggressive rider and in that case maguras/shimano brake systems are the way to go. I have the NUTT 2-pistons and they're ok on a NAMI for low to mid speed braking but probably due to there being electronic braking to give the nami a stronger initial 'bite'. I would definitely recommend riding with the logans for at least 100miles before changing them. Unless....you just have money like that and you just want to upgrade them or if you are generally a fast rider or even a heavier rider (230lbs+)

@@Jonasegway I agree, most likely the Logan 2-piston brakes are going to be fine for my type of riding. I do have Magura MT7 Pro on my enduro MTB, and they look and work great. Since I have mechanical brakes on my Ghost, one option could be moving the Logans onto that scooter, which would be a legit upgrade, then putting Maguras on the Nami. Thanks for your advice!

Absolutely no prob @ advice. Your Logan brakes should be 4- piston which is why I recommended you ride it with the Logan's first. I know magura use higher quality materials but as far as performance go I could see the Logan's being a very good upgrade especially compared to the nutt brakes that I have. I am actually still considering hitting Michael Sha up to send me the Logan 4piston setup that he now uses on the new Nami's as a brake upgrade for my nami

The tool that’s used to adjust the springs now comes with the Nami Burn E2. I received mines on 4/11/22 and was surprised to find a Nami branded spring adjuster.

I'll tell you a quick story about the car. I let a subie guy drive it....he pulled over after getting his rocks off and as I was getting out of the passenger seat, my back gave out. Now I am stalled on making riding videos till this bulge in my disc goes away 😞 The end..... Lol

@@michaelbesler7469 thanks. I've been stretching and attacking the injury as much as possible. I can now ride but can't really pick it up. Another friend of mine called me to come to his store real quick to show the subie guy what "real speed" is. So I stopped by and drove him but in that car you don't really feel the speed till you hit about 180-185mph. So after driving 10ish miles I pulled over and told him to drive. He looked at me like wait what??? 😳 I said yea, you won't know how fast we are going unless you do the fast driving yourself. So he was driving and was talking about how planted it was this and that. I then asked him what was the fastest he's ever driven. He looked at the heads-up display and said well I just passed it lol (@his fastest was 140 but he was blowing past 150). He was like fuck man I don't even need to downshift and it just keeps pulling. I didn't even know how fast he was going. I was thinking maybe 90-100mph and was waiting for him to hit it but he was already hitting it hahaha. Ahh it was a great day till my back gave out getting out. It's supposed to be my 200mph car but I don't know. Highest I've taken it (wasn't it's max but felt like it was just about there aerodynamically) was 196mph. One day I'll get a good stretch of road with at least 3miles of wide open throttle to see where it's vmax is. I feel the aero is limiting it. You can just feel it.

The breaks way too expensive but in the UK cost 100.00 I have breaks that are similar breaks just paid 50 for them they xtech hydraulic breaks, those breaks of magura say they can handle speeds of no more than 28mph bro ???? People are paying for the name they are just standard breaks lol 😆 all scooter but few have electric breaking hydraulic system, here in the UK beginning to think we treat like royalty round hear you pay 2100.00 for a scooter we pay 1000.00 we get the same specs , I bought a p1+ cost me 900.00 pounds 18ah , 35 Miles range, 2400w , 45mph , gets up any hill does not fall below 30mph on hills

I've been eyeballing that Burn E-2 Max, What do you think of it? Was thinking of using Fluid Freerides for my purchase. I come from Bajaboard and Electric Longboarding. Evolve, Pantera, Bajaboard S2 Atrax, etc. So this is my first Electric Scooter, So Speed, Ride, Range and handling are my biggest factors for a good purchase.

Well. I think it would be a great great purchase coming from your background. Just looking at your background three scoots come to mind off the top of my head (possibly 4): 1. Bronco Extreme/VNom 2. NAMI Burn-e 2max 3. Dualtron Thunder 2 4. Dualtron Storm ltd Elephant in the room? 5. Ninebot/Segway GT2 *In that order! If everything you mentioned was important to you was a priority along with weather resistance then I would prioritize my options as: 2,5, 1 and would rule the Dualtron's out. For range as a priority but don't care about water resistance I would go: 4, 3, 2, 1, 5 Ignoring #5 (because it wasn't out at my time of purchase) I went with the NAMI after a tough decision against the Thunder 2 because I came to the realization that if I was going to spend about 5k on a scooter, I have to be able to ride it under any circumstances, need at least 100miles of projected range which it isn't projected for but it's fully adjustable suspension, weather resistance, power output customization with sinewave controllers, it's small footprint for it's weight and sheer overall performance gave it the edge for me in making my decision. I like to cruise (15-18mph) and ride for max range. Most of my riding are on either bike lanes or bike trails. I didn't need a hardcore speed machine but needed range as a main priority. The Dualtron's will give you the most range but I don't find them the best balance of everything although they aren't far off. The ninebot gt2 looks like a very good scooter and will likely be the highest quality of them all along with having the highest weather resistance, app control, possibly as strong of acceleration as the nami but won't have the top speed and the least range of all of the 1-4 scoots. The nami is a very solid scooter. I would recommend it to someone who is Mechanically Inclined as you may encounter alot of "stupid" issues like warped tires (so you'll get a vibration while riding above a certain speed), bent front rotors (a typical defect due to packaging for shipping), brakes that need to be bled, controller error codes. It's almost like the luck of the draw sometimes. At the same time it's a very good scooter once you get past the small drawbacks. A few things I like about the nami brand is when you buy a NAMI, you get 50% off all OEM parts LIFETIME. You also have access although it could be limited to the owner/builder of NAMI. So if you do have any technical issues that the vendor you ordered your scooter from, you could reach out to him via Facebook messenger and request some assistance. Also this scooter feels/looks premium. To finish this out, I had buyers remorse with this scooter for maybe a month of owning it till I Went up a 6% incline and it held 54-55mph(GPS) without really staying in it and without being in turbo mode. That day kinda broke the seal and made me start seeing where my money went. I hope my long ass response gave you value in your decision making on this. Feel free to ask more questions if you got em.

Hey whatsup E. Now are you talking about new nami models in particular? Or just new scooters in general? If new scooters in general, I don't really know any specific dates. But I know scooter companies usually try to put out at least 1 model around summertime. Now with nami, I can't speak on specifics but i know the next model won't be ready before June of this year. I WOULD also tell you but this is my personal opinion that if you bought the burn e 2max now, you wouldn't regret your purchase a year from now. I want you to know that the Burn-e is an upgradable scooter. It's. It a scooter that comes off the assembly line maxed out. Michael is working on a bunch of things which puts the nami in a position to be upgraded without needing to buy a new scooter. I try to be very careful when recommending someone to purchase things because we all have similar interest but often different 'SPECIAL' interest. With that being safe, I feel comfortable telling you right this moment that buying the 32ah nami max right now is a good purchase. A RIGHT NOW purchase.

Thanks Pedro. Now mine felt alittle "stiff" and laggy from side to side. I will ask you. Does it feel "TOO STIFF"? O does it just kinda feels alittle stiff? Do you have the steering damper installed and did you check to see if it's at a high "stiff setting"? If the steering damper isn't set to max resistance and it feels "too stiff", watch the videos in this Facebook link: m.facebook.com/groups/namielectric/permalink/775149246497797/ The owner of NAMI describes what to do if your steering is too stiff. I am sorry you are going through this but if your steering is too stiff (as it shouldn't be because this problem was discovered over a half year ago) it seems like a big job unless you have a NAMI dealer close to you and maybe they can do it under warranty.

Yes.@ disconnecting those black and white cables on both left and right sides will remove the speed limiter on all NAMI models. Note....the nami will still be limited depending on which riding mode you are in. If you are in Eco/D/S/C modes the speed will be limited in each 'gear'. Xmode releases 95% of the nami's maximum speed and turning on the turbo mode will release it's maximum speed. I normally don't recommend riding on Xmode with the turbo activated because it sorta over boost the energy from the battery to the controller's which will raise your chance of melting/blowing your fuses since the fuse's max power is rated lower then what Xmode without turbo activated runs. As far as tire stickers go. The link below is the closest I can get you to the tire stickers I actually have. I would play around with different fonts and be sure to use the tire size on the side of your NAMI tires. The washers are on minimotors website if you are in the U.S. The deck screws have two sizes. The two very very front deck screws are 5mm x 16mm 0.80pitch. The other deck screws are 5mm x 10mm. 0.80pitch.

I feel that's a fair question! I will ignore the fact that I actually do have a motorcycle lol. If I didn't, I really wouldn't know why I would want this over a motorcycle. A motorcycle would be more useful to me. I think if you own a car, the electric scooter is a better purchase over a motorcycle. If I didn't have a car nor a motorcycle and I had to buy an E-scooter or a motorcycle I think I would buy the motorcycle because at least then I could travel with it and use it to carry groceries and even an extra passenger if I wanted to.

You now have 2 of the 3 scooters on my radar the last being the Kaabo Wolf. My only question is whether the Nami is worth the extra cost compared to the Victor?

Well. The answer to your question is sorta easy. There are a good number of things to think about. 1. Will you need to travel with your scooter? (The nami is really only good to travel with if you have an SUV or pickup) it is very impractical to travel with in your car but is possible if you have a sedan with foldown seats. Victor goes in a trunk easier because it breaks down to a smaller footprint. 2. What type of range do you need? (Will that need increase in the future?) 3. How much weight do you want to lug around? NAMI is heavy but it's design makes it easy to carry. 4. What type of rider are you? I have no issues jumping out with traffic with the nami. I don't with the Victor all of the time but the victor makes me plan alittle more on if I will take the actual l street or stick to the sidewalk. Basically if you need portability, decent speed and decent range the victor is your guy. If you want sheer power and speed, don't mind lugging a big ass scooter around and need the weather resistance, go for the nami. When you look at their differences, is the nami worth 2k more to you? Me personally, I think the nami is maybe worth 1k more then the victor. Not 2k. However, I prefer range and weather resistance and for that I had to pay that huge premium for the nami. I could have went with the King GT Pro but that scooter is extremely impractical for portable applications. I'll tell anyone if you don't have to carry or travel with your scooter, those wolf's, king's are probably in the top 3 for best ride around a big city scooter. They are just beast. I would also put the nami and the bronco scooter, the dualtron 3, vsett 10+R, dualtron thunder/thunder 2 to the mix. I think in the grand scheme of things I would get the bronco Xtreme over the wolf king. You have some decisions to make but think of what you need from your scooter. I see the nami being a timeless design overall more then the victor. The nami's chassis and setup is ready to be modded and customized with high end parts without it being too complicated. Think about it. Cover your needs first and narrow it down.

I like the Nami's design and build but wish it had a removable wide deck option to comfortably run errands with feet side by side and maybe an optional bracket to mount a basket. I only need it for local roads that are 45-50mph but portable enough to put in a shopping cart.

O you are very welcome. We'll see now your options are getting alittle interesting because none of the scooters you are looking at will fit in a shopping cart unless you are talking about Sam's club colossal sized carts that are used for carrying super large items like TV's and furniture. You could definitely stand on the nami with your feet side by side. Now with all of the scooters you could buy a cart to mount to the axle. I've seen guys buy the bracket system for the DT victor so they could use it for door dashing. The wolf and nami have big enough decks to actually stand on and have a big bag to like out food orders in if that's how you want to use it. A great idea would be to invest in one of those animal bicycle carriers that you would normally hookup to your bicycle to take your pet for a ride and hook it up to your scooter. You could insulate it to hold alot of food items warm and could just hook it up to the axle like I said. But none of them will be small enough to fit in a cart. The victor's practical cruising speed Is anything under 42ish mph if you weight 205lbs like I do or more. The lighter you are, I could see that practical cruising speed being alittle higher. Just this past Sunday (without the turbo feature on) the nami was able to go up this 4% slope at 54mph (GPS speed) no problem. I rolled smooth up that hill with traffic like it was nothing. Practical cruising speed for the nami is really anything under 56-57mph no matter how much you weight. It feels like it's governed to not go faster because it gets to those speeds strong without missing a beat

How did you get the sliders on there? Did you have to buy a longer wheel axle?

Ahhhh. So with the NAMI all you have to do is remove the wheel nut. These sliders in particular unscrews Into two pieces. The inner piece will go over the axle once you remove the nami's axle nut and then you screw the axle nut over the inner piece of the slider. After you tighten the nut over the slider you screw the outer slider piece on and you're good

If ur buying a xiomi airpump get the 1s its the updated version witch is better and has usb-c original xiomi airpump is 7l/h i think the 1s is 14l/h

@@Jonasegway definitly and allsow u can put the 3mm kabo wolf warrior rotors on the nami u just need to get some break pads from aliexpress witch are little thinner but they wear out realy slowly some people got like 2000km from thoes break pads + they can fit thoes 3mm thick rotors witch dont realy warp unless u go offroad and hit them realy hard on a rock but other than that the rotors are amazing and cheap to replace usual rotors are 2 mm and they bend easely and they are not realy made for scooters and they heat up too fast and warp the 3mm rotor doesent heat up that fast doesent warp that easely and u can allsow use the 3 mm rotor with the magura mt5e u just need to get the exact same break pads from aliexpress just for the mt5e ( these 3mm rotors can be used with 4 piston logan breaks that come on the nami , magura mt5e and some guy installed the rotor with magura mt7 he said they dont rub but its a tight fit i woud advise to just go with magura mt5e because only thing u get with the mt7 is a little bit more power but its just not worth the price basicly double the price of the mt5e + u have to buy the electronic levers for the mt7 witch are like 100$ a pisce and allsow on the mt5e u have more space between the rotors and break pads because they where designed so the pistons retract more into the caliper after u let off the break so it doesent rub so u can definitly fit the 3mm rotors with thoes breaks but u have to use the thinner break pads with all the breaks that can accept the 3mm rotors thats the only downside ) Here are the break pads link HRK 34.81 | 4 Pairs Improved Resin Bicycle Brake Pads for SRAM Avid Shimano Magura Hayes Formula Hope MTB Road Bike Caliper a.aliexpress.com/_mNhxaxG

Hey hey whatsup E. Thanks on the compliment on the video! Ok so as far as the batteries go, if you are talking about batteries with the new new nami's there are just two now. LG and whatever cheaper brand for the 28ah nami. Now the higher number of amp hr battery doesn't necessarily produce more range but definitely holds more energy available to use. However. If you have 1500watt motors powering a 32ah battery nami vs a 28ah with 1000watt motors and less weight, you almost balance out the range aspect. If you keep the numbers consistent and have a 150lb rider riding the 28ah model and a 150lb rider riding the 32ah model and they ride the exact same way, the 32ah will likely give more range. But barely.... Why? Because between the 1000w motors and the lighter weight, those two specs alone pushes the 28ah closer to the heavier and thirstier 1500watt motor nami. The 32ah model as of current models even with a light rider requires more energy to run. That 1000watt total difference between nami models closes the gap with range. However not enough to give it more range then the 32ah nami but I believe a 150lb rider on the 28ah riding with a 200lb nami rider would probably get the same range.

Heads up, I’m wanting to make a brief awareness… the head units on the latest Burn e’s max 2 in comparison to the first Gen Burn e’s are slightly larger. Therefore the Garmin Edge 830 silicone protector will not fit the head unit of the Burn e max 2 and unfortunately I currently do not know which silicone protector would fit it. Can someone assist with that, please?

No. The mt5e's will come with everything you need. Just make sure you are buying two of them "unless it states you are buying a pair. I don't know which kit you are buying but kits that shows pics of only the handles and calipers normally comes with the handles, cables, brake pads and brake pistons. The only thing they don't come with is rotors and it doesn't hurt to get magura or equivalent in thickness rotors to go with your new mt5e's. Where did you order yours from? I've been looking myself but haven't decided on a vendor to buy them from

@@blessdatrack4masssoundprod773 it should come with the wiring and everything. When it has the "e" as in mt5e, mt7e, it comes with all electrical cables, handles and brake pads with calipers. If it didn't have the "e" with the brake type, it wouldn't come with the electrical cable that you would need. Make sure the one you order is "closer". You should see in the description that it says open or closer. You need the "closer" version

This could be possible but being a nami group member and following most of the post, I've never ever seen anything like that being said about the stem. I would tell you that if you decide to buy a NAMI, buy an extra set of 160mm rotors because even as recent as today I am seeing people are still recieving their nami's with bent front rotors. The rotors they come with are just too narrow and bend easily

I'm not sure but this weekend I might release one or two more videos. They will be about me changing out the rim. It was actually kinda easy. Being such a heavy scooter, you have to be more attentative with where you place your wheels while riding and how much air you have in your tires. If not, one or the other could bend your rims quite easily which will result in $200 (price for two nami rims *shipping included in that price). .if your rims are bent, your brake rotor could be bent also because the rotor is screwed into the rim. It's a great scooter, I just find myself needing to be alittle more careful with it then I am with my Dualtron Victor

Ok. Things that happened but isn't nami's fault? - rear rim got bent while changing lanes so I had to order new rims (possibly didn't have enough air in tire and so road reflector punched hard enough into the tire to bend the rim) Things I had to repair/change? - front rotor (arrived bent during shipment) - both fuses going to each controller (they shipped with 30amp fuse holders with 50amp fuses inside). Both fuse holders melted and one of the fuses popped. So I ended up having to buy 50amp/72v fuse holders and relocate the fuse holders to save space under the deck. So far these are the only things I have had to change. But.... The bearing for the base of the steering's stem was very notchy. I solved that problem with silicone spray. I should be making a video soon so you guys can have a visual on all of the things I've gone through with the NAMI. It has been solid with no issues in the last 300-340miles.
