Here's my take regarding Tom's crucifixion imagery in this song. While you could take it as Tom seeing himself as a Jesus figure, I think the intended symbolism was more that because he often raps about takes/opinions others feel scared to publicly agree with he is standing in thier stead taking the slings and arrows of all those who are quick to attack anyone who doesn't support the mainstream narrative. So its not like he's claiming to be holy or a prophet, just drawing a parallel around the martyr aspect of Jesus, obviously on a much smaller scale.

The comment in the beginning of my reaction (God, I'm tired of explaining this repeatedly) was my RAW REACTION based on what that imagery triggered when I first saw it. Caught me a little off guard. I don't believe that Tom MacDonald thinks he's holy.

I'm a 64 years old man and this song brought tears to my eyes and as a Nation what we have become.......

HOG fam here...I love Tom because he speaks the truth...something that is rare these days. He also embraces his fans...wait not fans...his FAMILY!! He isn't just in for money he actually cares and is USING HIS 1A RIGHTS!!

Tom just dropped Sheeple a couple days ago. Why do I love Tom. He spits his truth and doesn't let others opinions shut him up. I don't agree with everything but he does make you think. He's also versatile, He has comfort songs like Castles and Scars... He also has deep songs like Sober or withdrawals. He has songs like No good dirty bastards and Best rapper ever for days you need to get pumped. Then he has fun songs like Buttholes and I'm corny. He does awesome diss songs like no response and don't look down. I could prolly go on but I think you got the point. My favourites are The System and In God we trust. Thanks for your reaction. Love Tom cause every song has a message and a meaning plus truth and keeps it real I agree with most of what he says and a lot of his songs help people through there battles some we all deal with and some not everyone deals with but after loosing my uncle to cancer listening to his song cancer helped me and some family members deal with the pain so for me he is one of the best to ever do it HOG4life

Already downloaded this song and I just bought that autographed track suit. This is another fire hit that aims right at the heart of today's problems. It makes me want to cry for 2 reasons ...I'm so freaking proud of Tom and his vision, his voice, and his balls, AND I'm so sad and frustrated at where the world is today. Why I listen to Tom? In short: he helps, he guides.

I'm #hog4life because his lyrics aren't just surface trash. His lyrics are genius. He allows his fans and his haters into his life in a way very few if any do. He's relatable even if you can't relate to his specific struggle. He starts conversations that need to be had without having to worry about being cancelled. He is me, but with an army behind him. He hasn't forgotten the struggle, and he's turned it into art.

He says what others can't man is on fire all the time.

I'm Canadian... but same as American... I travelled a lot of the world (over 17 countries) by the time I was 18 and I had a new found appreciation for home. I think everyone should leave the country at least once and see what it really is like on the other side.

Love that Tom speaks his mind without fear, it doesn't hurt that I agree with a lot of what he says. I like that I can understand every word and he's a down to Earth, intelligent & genuine young man that is busting his butt to make it on his own. I don't relate to his addiction/recovery songs, but appreciate that they help those that need it. It also makes me appreciate Tom & Nova all the more.

I can tell you, like I tell everyone, I'm a Tom fan because I went DEEP, before he was famous, I get him, I feel him, I've been in similar places, as a Body painter (artist) his music helps me to keep going, he reminds me if you go back to his early days, KEEP going, you only fail when you give up. He keeps me going because I want to keep my art on the facts. YES, I know, I'm a Makeup artist and it's going to be a different kind of hard, but it won't be harder, it's just different. He reminds me that I CAN do this on my own. He reminds me I can keep being me and still reach my goals. I love him for that, I love him for not scared to share what a lot of us wish we could. Oy Vey...... I can't help being absolutely bewildered by today's cultural. The same people that preach acceptance and equality to speak their so called truth are the very ones who go for the throat of someone else that is just trying to do the same. I feel like I'm watching an SNL skit gone horribly awry.

Why am I a fan of Tom MacDonald? I'm not a fan. I'm family. I am HOG. The trio of Tom MacDonald, Nova Rockafeller and Brandon Hart are inspirational, together and separately they struggled until they were victorious. Drugs, alcohol, anxiety, depression, asthma, poverty, homelessness... they have had to scrape and claw to get to where they are now. The simple fact that they made it isn't what inspires me. They made it into sobriety and stability, keeping each other safe, always having each other's backs. They emerged from the darkness battle scarred and smiling, ready to take their art back into that very darkness and light they way out for others who have never felt like they mattered. I as one of those. Lost in my head because of crippling depression over rapidly declining health. I was on the edge of throwing away over a decade of Sobriety to self medicate. instead, I found comfort in the music. I found laughter. I found an army of Hang Over Gang. I'll never face another battle with my demons alone. #HOG4LIFE

But for some reason, ever since the day I said screw it and watched one of the Snowflake reaction videos that kept popping up in my suggestions for some unexplainable reason, I've been in love. Well that's the thing, that's not how actual science works. The scientific method is based on using hard data to test for and either prove or disprove a theory. For example, one of the things I pointed out in this video as scientifically proven, doesn't "depend" on anything.. It has been tested / analyzed / proven with literal hard data to the extent of being an indisputable fact. Opinions and feelings have no place in science.

Because Tom makes rap like I grew up on like Ice Cube Wu-Tang NWA I grew up on rap and later in life rap went to sh*+ so I was listening to people like 5FDP and other hard rock then I found Bryson so I was mixing rap into the metal and hard rock then found Tom then Struggle and Adam Calhoun now I can literally listen to nothing but rap and get good new music on a regular

I have different reasons I am a Tom Macdonald fan. One is he looks very similar to my boyfriend who was a musician, but he passed away. Tom got away from alcohol he did not, and it killed him. Also, I am very into the American lifestyle, and he is defending it with all of his might. He is so to the point on calling out all of this insanity that has infiltrated our society like a cancer and he is like the chemotherapy extracting it from the body. But you have to be aware enough to open your mind and heart to hear his message.

I agree 1000% (and I know Jesus wasn't the only person crucified lol), my point that I didn't make clear enough is just that I hope he's not comparing himself TO Jesus. Tom (and tons of other people with an honest voice) ARE persecuted daily, but as you already know, there's no replacing what Jesus went through. Overall the imagery definitely WORKS though, so I'm not mad at it.

I like Tom. Samson is and will be better though

You didn't understand my point (to be fair, I didn't clarify it in the video).. I don't mind the "crucifixion" imagery, I was implying that I'd be disappointed if he were comparing himself to Jesus in some way or another, but I let that go quick in the reaction because I realized that was probably a stretch.

No such thing as white privilege in America. There is however American privilege. If you live in the States you are blessed beyond measure.
