Started my spread betting career after buying his books and going to one of his seminars, really nice guy and I made the seminar fees back the next week spread betting with ideas he came up with at the seminar.

Any guidance on how to setup a long term spread betting? I would like to Average a low vatility portfolio but at the same time would not like to have to pay overnight fees for keeping orders open

Nothing on funding costs ? Even for unleveraged bets i've read that many providers still charge daily interest on the total position size, rather than on the amount you've actually borrowed.

Why would you use CFDs to go long and SBs to go short?

when you say spread betting thats exactly the same as cfd's? SB never heard here in australia . nice vids btw:)

yes they are similar, both leverageable and track the underlying stock price.

What's the difference between buying and selling stock shares? I'm confused.

Buying is in anticipation stocks will go up in price, and selling (or shorting) is anticipating stock prices will go down.

I am spread betting and looking for a software (free or paid) to link to my SB company and auto export my trades so I can review and track my performance. Does anyone know of any? most seem to be for DMA brokers only and not spread betting companies. I am aware of doing excel but that takes some time importing data when I make around 30 trades per day. Thank you

No it’s not. Day trading, in the USA requires a an account of 25,000 dollars minimum before trading. CFD is day trading as a percentage is taken for over night holding. Which is why day trading is preferable. Short selling is also allowed here, either long or short it’s a leverage account.
