Tenho 3 tape deck muito antigo,2 SONY e 1 Akai com cabeçote de ferrite, gravação excelente!!!!!

I have the opportunity to buy a used m-9039 gauge....how do I tell if it is working without a cassette deck? Do I just have to put in new batteriea and push the arms upwards?

Think like this...gauge detects continuity thru head surface. If you put gauge on side to the metal 90 degree angle, leds must lights. If not, then its not 90 degree angle or detectrion switches are not in right position...and they needs to be readjusted.

9039 checks Rec/play back head tilt. 9088 does the same for the Erase head.

i believe this was made specifically for calibrating the mechs out of the factory when they were made soo if you found one online, expect it to be very pricey. only one i found that sold online went for 1k dollars
