Cassette Deck Service with 30 years of experience. All started as a hobby in latest 80's but last 15 years became serious work.
Nakamichi decks are my favorite as i work with them from 1st day. Also "almost" all test/calibration gauges have for servicing them.
Right after are Revox, Aiwa, Alpine/Alpage, Teac and Luxman.
Of course thru all those years was successfully serviced also other deck brands like Sony, Tandberg, Pioneer, Akai, Technics,...and many more.

Whoa. That one has all kinds of problems. That will be a hard one to fully fix. And problems with the VFD. I watched another tech try to fix VFD problems before by replacing all kinds of chips, then boards, then everything that connects to the meters. No luck. Hopefully your experience will be different.
Hi, how can i buy the housing of this dvd drive? Its very cool.
@@nosnelg7481 Thank you. You can't. Actually if you are ready to pay 150€ you can, but i doubt you will pay that much for housing only.
how is the player connected to the a6?
@@DerMAChimo via both USB ports...one for power and another for signal...but you can see this on video

This will damage your casette or break your tape for sure.
Nice. Can you use it as a CD player? and do you sell the players?

@@CassetteDeckService what player and does it need separate power? Don't need to rip. Just to play some CD's would be cool

Does this player support Bluetooth? I'm trying to look it up on Google but am struggling to find any clear-cut answers. Excuse me if this is common knowledge by the way, only beginning to get into this stuff
Nope...this is 22 years old device. I used external bluetooth dongle as unit have aux in..so you can literally connect anything to it.
this was an ecelent deck but i rceived from my father the ZX-9 wich is not that diferent but works with perfection, all the defects on the Dragon ,here all don´t exist mainly the automatic azimuth correction and the auto-reverse ,this is much better and works

How did you manage to increase the tension?
Sorry, but not understand your question. Here is talking about tentelometer and not some deck problems.
@@CassetteDeckService I watched the indicator drop to the bottom, was something adjusted to make this happen?
@@brianwood5220 1st you need to know, how dual capstan drives working. To get proper intercapstan tension...take up capstan must rotate faster than supply capstan. This makes proper intercapstan tension. As one spins faster then other...at one point it came to slipping and that time mark supposed to stop...till mark moving down intercapstan tension raises. Bottom line is that tape must be properly stretched when traveling over heads. If not, then we get lack of sound, no recordings, etc.
@@CassetteDeckService Thank you for the explanation. I now understand. 😁
@@brianwood5220 you're welcome
Left recording level has been set higher than right one ? Is it normal or suggests any problem
Normal...it depends on source
Can I get your mail address
Will the ABEX-THG-801 work on Nakamichi Cassette decks?
Yes of course...as you see on video, i used Nakamichi Dragon for demonstration.
Evary think is good but how can by from you sir any contact no
At this moment version for RX-505 is in production and will be available in 14 days. Ocasionally check my web page: www.cassettedeck-service.com/#forsale Or my Ebay shop: www.ebay.de/str/cassettedeckservice Thank you
lol, so funny :)
I have the opportunity to buy a used m-9039 gauge....how do I tell if it is working without a cassette deck? Do I just have to put in new batteriea and push the arms upwards?
Think like this...gauge detects continuity thru head surface. If you put gauge on side to the metal 90 degree angle, leds must lights. If not, then its not 90 degree angle or detectrion switches are not in right position...and they needs to be readjusted.
Hello. Will there be another batch of your THG 801 clone gauges for sale? I really need one. I've contacted Willy for his WHS-300, but he no longer makes them, so my only hope is getting one from you. I am from Bulgaria, so at least we are close. Best Regards, Chris

Thank you Ben...Wait for final edition 🙂
You need the cds logo in the front of course
@@Nakamichi_Service_UK was thinking, but probably will go only with title which is originally on plexi cover
You just need a clear cover like a tandberg or revox that you place in there when deck is not being used.
@@Nakamichi_Service_UK it will be like this :) www.cassettedeck-service.com/RAZNO/CDS-Sleek-Design.jpg
What a great idea but, I am not going to send my RX 202 back to you for the conversion despite the temptation. after having you service two of my decks its time to listen to them playing music.
Narrative would be helpful.
What speakers where hooked up to this

I love your jet powered Nak.
how do you make the freq. response test ? with a software ? connected to a computer ?? cheers mate..
Yes...using external sound card and pro software for capturing/plot pb & rec freq. response
That's an impressive tape deck. I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for one of them. I can't imagine what they sell for or what they cost to service, but I think I need to save up some money.
Great deck 💪🏻
You can see why this cost so much back in the day!
