Nakamichi BX - 150. An easy fix for a common problem with vintage Nakamichi Cassette Decks.
A very easy fix for a Nakamichi Cassette deck that will not play, rewind, or fast forward. All you need is a small phillips screw driver and a good quality rubber cleaner.

A really swell machine. I got a Nakamichi BX-1 several years back and though it's only Dolby-B it's performance is first class. I use it in my 900+ cu/ft kitchen hifi system powered by an SX-434 receiver with Boston Acoustics A-40 and Synergistics S12B speakers. BX-1 control layout logical and controls work smoothly. I like the BX-150
Later Nakamich decks came out with a geared idler wheel. A little more noise but much more reliable !
Mine has a cog gear wheel did they change the spec later?
What rubber cleaner do you use?
