Jesse Enkamp sensei teaches his dynamic connected bunkai flow for Naihanchi kata.
When Jesse Enkamp sensei visited Okinawa and taught at the Asato Dojo we knew we were in for a treat. His analysis and approach to the Naihanchi patterns was both eye opening and intuitive. Bringing together the kata positions with linking strategies based on natural movement and reactions to form a continuous flow of movement through the kata.
In addition Jesse sensei takes participants through a set of supplementary exercises (hojo undo) as warm up exercises to hone up skills such as sensitivity, sticky hands and close range striking.

Very nice Sensei Jesse! I love Naihanchi kata. Our version in Isshinryu is just slightly different but is virtually the same. It is often a very neglected kata which is a shame considering Choki Motobu practiced it all the time and said it will make you a good fighter.
