I can't deny there is little doubt she was planted to be found by us however. I mean the unknown God SCHOOLED the twins, but was okay with separating them and letting them go. They have plans.

You actually made me remember a thought I had of the other sibling successfully beating the unknown god, and subsequently turning it into Paimon, but at the cost of getting corrupted or subjugated by the Abyss order, which would say that despite Lumi/Aeth being the esteemed King/Queen they're also powerless , thats why they're quite keen on watching you, but to never make a move that would catch attention, since they're still under the dominion of someone behind the scenes, and that someone is keen on making the Tsaritsa be the enemy due to them actually posing as the bigger threat amongst the other nations by some unknown means, mainly because of their brutish methods of which are undeniably cruel, due to them employing strong and committed people onto their ranks, despite them basically being evil and devoid of humanity, (but part of me thinks that still plays in the idea that they are cruel to achieve their goals, but still aim for the "greater good", whatever that may be, which would be hard to justify as we are literally forewarned by Collei's dream of Dottore basically burning Sumeru) and some other fun stuff Idk why I typed this down but here you have it

Some of the lines of text reads "I hope Nahida will be useful to us", and the other is "[Maybe] Traveller will forgive me?" So it seems like she _is_ being genuinely helpful to the Traveller, or cares enough about their well-being that Paimon hopes they can forgive her. Which actually makes this entire video even more unnerving than if Paimon's thoughts were wholly malevolent. Something about evil/demonic figures plotting evil things genuinely considering you a good friend that they don't want to lose, is absolutely terrifying to me. Like, imagine if Satan or Nyarlathotep called you "best buddy" without a hint of sarcasm.

Think about it, Traveler pops back into the world and finds Paimon, almost like them losing their powers is what freed the traveler. The Traveler is merely their back up plan. Like having a familiar or item for resurrection in D&D. Floaty, crown, celestial cape, Paimon may have even used the red boxes in the Jade chamber detonation scene.

I don't know if this is sarcasm or not but I will explain it anyways. There's a theory about Paimon being the "Unknown God"(The god you fight at the starting cutscene). People back this up by saying the hairpin looks like the portals Unknown God uses, and the general visual similarities between them. When Nahida reads Paimon's mind she sees the things the Unknown God did to the traveler and the world. That's why she looks terrified and Paimon telling her not to say anything.R

I mean, go ahead and look. All of the deities in teyvat have names that are in reference to Demon names. But as this is a primarily based Chinese game, demon's aren't "technically" viewed as Western demons, but are viewed as the ones in control of specific domains (which is neutral area, for example how a person would use a knife, either to take life or prepare food to sustain a life), and are treated equal to gods in a sense.

Every Archon's real names have been names of the Goetia. Barbatos, Morax, Baal/Beelzebuth, Buer, Focalor... The fact that Paimon is one too is NOT a coincidence.

Every god use demon names if you haven't noticed Angels are not a thing in Teyvat, neither is God (not as in gods but as the God)

Nahida says paimons mind is pretty empty but what if that's what paimon wants her to think

Considering Paimon is also the name of the third King of Hell... yea, I'd love to see some kind of horror subplot. And that's not the extent of the similarities either, after all, knowing the past and future, being able to clear doubts, flight, and potentially reanimating the dead (depending on how paranoid you want to get). Technically making food could be one of her powers if there actually is a link. With how heavily their naming conventions pulls from demonology, there's either something going on underneath the surface or someone thought the names were cool without looking ANY further into them, which seems somewhat unlikely as other's have disturbing similarities as well, for instance Barbatos; the ability to speak any language (including those of animals), has knowledge of past events, and reconciles disputes between friends and those who hold power (including through bloody revolution).

Watching this video, I wonder if Genshin ever reaches its finale we'll get a Sonic and the Black Knight situation where Paimon is our final obstacle, not because she's secretly evil, but because she's grown too attached to the Traveller. She starts to fear that they'll leave Teyvat and return home when their business is done and the adventure is over, leaving the friends they made behind, especially Paimon. She doesn't want the good times to end, so like Merlina she'll do anything to make sure it never ends

I was watching this in my basement at 3am and this scared the shit out of me (for some reason)

paimon's face at the end was very calming. (^v^) anyhow, paimon is the name of a demon, check the demonology fandom, and it matches pretty well with what emergency food does. "Paimon teaches all arts, philosophy and sciences, and secret things; he can reveal all mysteries of the Earth, wind and water, what the mind is, and everything the conjurer wants to know, gives good familiars, dignities and confirms them, binds men to the conjurer's will." anyways, it basically says paimon is pretty nice. And she is pretty nice. I don't think anything bad will happen. I trust paimon. And if paimon is evil, or betrays aether or something or other, then it'll be really interesting, and that's not bad either.

mmm. Literally everything Paimon does has both surprised and not surprised me at the same time. I cant say i'd be surprised if Paimon willingly betrays the traveler, and then i wouldnt be surprised if Paimon had a 4d chess plan to to get them all around shnezniya by getting captured by the fatui or some weird betray-but-not-really thing (oh like in the plan during act 5 sumeru actually...) AND THEN PAIMON GOES TO VOID TWIN'S SIDE! Still, wouldnt surprise me much; as paimon is paimon

What’s makes this animation all the more scarier is the fact that some if not all the Archon’s names are demon names, Barbatos (Venti), Morax (Zhongli), Baal (Raiden Shogun) and maybe the others if this is accurate. But guess who else’s name is also a demon name? PAIMON. Another thing to note is that a lot of the bad stuff that happened to Teyvat in the past was because of the actions of the Archons. And to top it all off: We know little to complete nothing about Paimon’s past. Put it all together and it just further hints that Paimon either has amnesia and has no memory of who she truly is and what she is truly capable of, or worse she’s hiding her true intentions and is waiting for the moment to backstab everyone when they least expect it, which makes this animation all the more TERRIFYING.

I mean, most bad stuff happened because the Archon wars and other evil gods, the gods we meat, like Venti, Zhongli or Nahida are pretty good gods, and Raiden Shogun doesn't evil either she only started being stupid after her sister died. But your theory about Paimon s pretty damning but I don't know she is evil, I don't think MiHoyo would do something like that.

Looking back at the abilities and traits between the “Demon” Paimon and then The Seven Archons, I noticed that each of the Archons we currently know each have an ability or trait similar to the “Demon” Paimon, which could in theory further confirm “Genshin” Paimon’s secret side. Venti (The Anemo Archon) can make illusions, which he has done multiple times. Zhongli (The Geo Archon) is the literal god of wealth. Nahida (The Dendro Archon) can read minds, which is a kind of telepathic ability, Then lastly the Raiden Shogun (The Electro Archon) doesn’t as far as I know has an ability that’s similar to the “Demon” Paimon, but she does possess a trait similar to him. While most of the Archons went into hiding, two of em didn’t and maintained their leadership: The Raiden Shogun and the Tsarista of Snezhnaya (The Cryo Archon). Both of em are leaders, rulers, KINGS of sorts. And what is the “Demon” Paimon’s ranking? A Demon KING of Hell. Where does this KING theory come into play? If you been paying attention about the Archon’s Gnosis, each of em are in the form of chess pieces in the Genshin World. However, out of all the Gnosis we currently know the only highest ranking Archon we know is Venti, whose Gnosis is in the form of the Queen. Which means: If the highest ranking Gnosis out of the seven is only a Queen, then there must be a hidden KING. If look closely at a Cryo character’s Elemental Burst icon while it’s glowing, you’ll realize it’s not just a 6-edged snowflake. It’s literally shows all the different forms of the chess pieces and not only that, but if you take the top piece of the symbol on “Genshin” Paimon’s Halo CROWN and compare it to one of the pieces, it looks exactly like one of em. And even better: It’s one we haven’t seen on the Gnosis we know, which if I had to take a shot in the dark, I’m betting it has to be the KING piece. But now what about the other abilities? How do they tie into all of this? If you’ve played Genius Invocation: The Trading Card Game, you probably know about the Omni element, which acts a wildcard element that can substitute itself for any other element to use abilities or play cards when you’re short an element. If you compare the Omni’s symbol on the dice to the symbol on “Genshin” Paimon’s chest, it’s the exact same symbol and both of Paimon’s cards in Genius Invocation TCG both involve creating Omni Dice. Put all this together and it means one thing: Paimon is the Archon King of the Omni element, the master of all elements.
